1. Yeah there's Jimmy Egypt in workshop below CC Music in Otago St or there's Jimmy Moon on the Pollokshaws Rd. Both charge around £60 for a basic setup. I started doing mine myself after never really being happy with the results from a workshop.
2. You could try either cutting grooves in the existing saddle to lower string height or sanding it it down a bit. If you go too far just a shims to raise height back up.
3. Pleased that my favourite of the 3 is also the cheapest!
4. This combo has a 15" speaker in a ported cab. Made in USA it is rated at 300w but will be more like 120w. Heavy so collection only. All original with added flush side handles.
5. Is it a proper version of protools? Can't get the PM fields to work on my phone or ipad any more. Just goes crazy.
6. Bump for this black beauty.
7. Phew! Just sent off a pickguard to be copied as a lovely gold anodised metal-brushed lookalike.
8.

That is one cool kitty. Bass isn't bad looking eithet.
9. I've been looking at basses for sale in Japan lately. The price and shipping cost is often quoted but no one explains how to calculate customs duties or how it works. Are you expected to go to a local depot to pay these taxes before collection? How much is the current cost for an imported bass instrument. Anyone know a rough estimate?
10.
No problem in making a left-handed version of a Jazz guard - I'll just need to use a mirror when doing it
That's great news. You must have to keep a high shine on that mirror though.
11. I've been wanting a lefty gold guard for my J bass for an age. Would a lefty version be the same to make?
12. Lots of debate about jazz basses. Mainly does country of origin and price reflect the quality? Personally I've played some 60's and 70's US Fender basses that have been dogs, while occasionally I've played a beauty. I own a few jap ones at the moment (1P + 2J) but that's been down to price, 2nd hand and of course, availability. I have bid for the occasional lefty vintage US lefty bass but the final price is always beyond what I'm willing to pay.
13. Warwick Thumb BO4. Made in 1999 it has brass adjust-a-nut and frets, Bubinga body and wenge neck. Comes with a Warwick Rockbag.
14. Yep, good deal and I contacted them and price includes UK delivery.
15. Sting is prob following this thread and waiting for a price drop like that one.
16. Have you got yourself yet another Berger?
17. What is the weight of the Midget T and can the tweeter be turned off?
18. If anyone has £2,500 to spare there is a lovely looking '72 jazz on gumtree.
