1. My brother was looking at this but prefers a proper case for his basses. Do the hard-shell cases made for the Synapse model available via Thomann fit the L2 and XL2?
2. Looks real nice. Good luck with the sale.
3. I went one step further. I put a righty anodised guard onto my lefty mij. Because its single-ply I just flipped it over. Only a couple of small mis-alignments.
4. Could this technique be used to remove surface scratches from a Steinberger?
5. Beautiful looking bass and photographs too. Must resist......
6.
Thanx. We're all entitled to our views on pricing but maybe not on a sale thread. No hard feelings.
Absolutely not. Totally forgot it was a sale thread I was babbling in.
7. Well, wasn't me guv'nor.
8. I have a black Ray34 but would prefer the smaller SB14 model but they don't make a lefty model.
9. For a truly 'green' experience, never run it above 40°c. Should still be plenty loud.
10. Amazing! I bet Summers himself would happily play this one. He actually used one of his CS replicas during the Police reunion tour as the original is now too fragile and valuable. I have a lefty Fender jazz body needing a refin if you do commissions?
11. I have two J basses. One is about average weight but the other is very light and hence my favourite 'go to' bass.
12. Next you'll be suggesting taking it along to one of the city centre guitar stores so I can play it.
13. More pics would be good.
14. Looks like a copy to me too.
15. Great looking and sounding bass and a very reasonable price this won't be around for long.
16.
Yeah I've just stacked mine, Fender USA 2000 Jazz (i think). I love the tonal variation with having tone control on each pick up....far superior to the one tone in my opinion. I get a lovely soul warm tone with the bridge tone rolled off but the neck tone up....yeah two tone all the way .
Liking the 'go faster' stripes too.
17.
I believe our very own Bass Doc can sort you, drop him a line.
We've spoken now. Cheers.
18. Does anyone currently have a stack knob jazz? How does it compare to the standard for tonal variation?
19. Yes Ed, that is me but I am seated in that photo! The angle also makes my Warwick Thumb look like a broadneck! I never had much issue playing my righty L2 upside down. I would just imagine that the pivot has the design it has for a reason thus the interest in owning a proper lefty.
20. If someone sells headpieces maybe someone does a lefty pivot to put on righty Steinberger? This is getting complicated, hehe.
21. Im a lefty so as you can imagine finding basses nevermind parts can be difficult. I would like to replace the pickguard on my 62 reissue jazz bass. Preferrably with the holes below front pickup for a tugbar. Anyone know where I can get one or one made that looks authentic?
22. Jazz bass porn. Ye cannae beat it!
