    With the smaller 30” neck is the body also reduced in scale/size?

    I’ve ordered a set of Rotosound Tru Bass nylon tapewounds 65 - 115 gauge. Will let you know what I think when they arrive. Forgot to mention they are for a short scale fretless acoustic bass.

    This looks to be a P bass neck which means the logo represents a ‘57 RI. The jazz bass logo is early sixties logo as is a ‘62RI I believe.

    I recently picked up a bass strung with what appears to be black nylon tapewounds. I like them a lot but have no idea of the brand and only downside is the gauge is very light. Can anyone recommend a heavy gauge version?

    Jack’s Instruments made me two custom guards for my medium scale P basses. Gold anodised & red tort. Excellent job.

    I’ve seen thumbrests fitted that look like it must just be sticky gel or something being used as the thumbrest itself is transparent plastic. This would have been the best solution. Being a lefty I wouldn’t bid on it but Its simplicity really appeals so me.

    Lovely figuring on that maple fingerboard. Easy job to have it re-fretted too. Nice. 😎

    I had one of these too. Loved the tone and could hear little difference between it and a US Stingray I tried in comparison. I only moved it on because of the weight. Was too heavy for my liking.
