1.
I'm not sure what you mean by the bit I've underlined? One position is series and the other position is parallel.
That's right, but it's supposed to be "up" is parallel and "down" is series, mine does the opposite. Otherwise yes, I have only played with it one evening but it is incredibly versatile.
If you want the series/parallel to work in the opposite direction, take the plate off, undo the screws and turn the switch round similar to what you did with the plate. I'd rather do that than take it back for repair under warranty - it's a 5 minute job. G.
I did try that, but the switch is connected to the others so it is not really possible without unsoldering. I suppose I'll live with it, I have never bought a new bass before so I was a bit disappointed that it wasn't perfect. Thanks guys, it is a great bass and really beautiful in white.
2. So this thread totally GASsed me. And I bought the last Olympic White one I could find. It is fabulous, but the pickup switches were not functioning as expected. It took me a while to realise that the control plate had been fitted upside down (neck pickup switch towards the bridge and the series/parallel switch towards the neck). I have flipped it but the series/parallel switch works the opposite of how it should. This is quite disappointing and makes me wonder if the QC was non existent and there might be other issues with it? Should I get it repaired under warranty in any case? Thanks.
3. I am not interested at all but I have something completely different I am also sellling for £45. PM me.
4. The seller has not responded to my contact attempts over the past couple of days, so that bass may be there a while
5.
Just found that myself - £130-odd for a new bridge though! Pretty sure without all the gubbins, what's on the bass will still work like a conventional bridge.
Yes, rather pricey. I agree there is enough left of bridge to work just fine. I think the fine tuning screws can easily be bought. Only the detuner will be unusable.
6. Well done, I love mine. There this German shop selling Hohner parts: http://www.hohner-cshop.de/en/Guitar/Headless-Bass-Series/Basses-Bass-Headless-BB/Hohner-BBass4/
7.
Pmt list them as in stock in Romford. http://www.pmtonline.co.uk/ashdown-b-social-stereo-desktop-bass-amp-in-black
Thanks! That will have to be a weekend job.
8. Is there any shop in London or Nottingham where it s possible to try one of these b-Socials?
9. I believe that Wunjo stocks some Eastwood basses, maybe worth giving them a call see if you can try one?
10. And now it's gone.
11. Just seen this: https://www.gumtree....bass/1163839766 I know these are popular around here and this seems a good price (£160 - but active circuitry is defective). If it was closer to me I would probably have a go.
12. The link at the top takes me to a different web site (acmebass.com) you may want to check your hyperlink. Thanks for posting this review.
13. Only just saw that. Have you still got it or is it gone? I have a B-Bass, so I would quite like to see the catalogue entries for it.
14. Is that the ghost of a double neck guitar that can be seen on the lid's foam?

Kramer 350B

Very nice bass, I have never seen one of these for sale. Congratulations on getting it. I have a 1978 450B.
16.
Low - Just Like Christmas
+1 for this My fave though is Cocteau Twins' rendition of Frosty the Snow Man
17. I bet I could drink 10 Grolsch in under 5 minutes and I won a bass. I am not making this up, look (and you show the 5 pars of Grolsch bottle seals). Voila...
18. Bienvenue sur le forum!
19.
Just done a deal on a Sandberg heavy relic ...I wasn't a fan but I love the sound so I don't care...
That's what matters the most at the end of the day. And like I said it actually looked pretty realistic on the DK.
20. Very nice. What is in the top cavity?
21. What about that Nokia tune ringtone?
22. Maybe I didn't pay enough attention and it just wasn't as aged as I would have expected it to be, given the state of the rest of the bass I didn't try it or anything.
23. I was at Wunjo yesterday and they have a brand new Sandberg Marlowe DK. I am not into relic'ing at all, but I have to say it was really well done on this particular bass and the "ageing" looked pretty natural, except... the pick guard is brand new (and may even have had protective plastic on it). Why is that? Is the pick guard the last taboo that cannot be broken (or grazed/burnt/hacksawed)?
24. Aw man! I have just lost 20 minutes of MY life. And I blame you!
25. Nope, just the one end.
