1.
I think the real problem is that "the bass neck has been deferred". Never de-fret to tomorrow what can be de-fretted until the day after ...
On-board delay pedal?
2.
I would have thought there must be a way to do this without too many problems... e.g. sending pics privately via email, etc... Now some of this stuff here is very nice, and not too pricey, either... *displays range of questionable under-the-counter goods*
Login-only?
3. I'm sure both your wife and your daughter will be eternally grateful
4.
It's a new day, it's a new bump...
Rule is, no more than every 36 hours ... http://basschat.co.uk/topic/183234-rule-changes-to-marketplace-36-hour-bumping-rule-and-trade-valuations/
5. Dance, dance my lovely! :whipcrack!:
6.
I took both, and my double bass, to a band practise tonight and used all three of them. Can't imagine doing this band without all three of those sounds available to be honest.
I think I'd like to hear your band
7. Strings definitely make a big difference. Flats for sure, but also think about nylon-coated strings; they have a real organic hum which doesn't seem to come from all-metal strings.
8. I'm not sure if it will do the sound you want (personally I think the P fretless sounds much nicer than the J fretless), but a decent second-hand Yamaha RBX200F will be a fine bass, not too heavy and not expensive - £120 or so? I've got one, and it is definitely not for sale. Also, I recommend Aria Sinsonido 690FL. Looks cool, sounds lovely (though perhaps not very Pino?), weighs very little.
9. I like the Status Hotwires. The Rotosounds I tried were OK but I prefer the Status, they feel and sound better to my ear.
10. I really like that. I can't possibly afford it GLWTS!
11. I bought Dave's Westone Thunder 1. All went well, we had a nice chat (including Mrs Dave, who makes a fine cup of tea, thank you ma'am), a pleasant and cheerful transaction. I hope to go see his band play some time soon
12.
Once again it's all 'eye of the beholder' stuff, really. I can't help but think that stripes like that on a bass make it look like a fag packet, but that's just me...
Stripey ones play faster

15. Pics are here: http://s1295.photobu...w?sort=3&page=1 (though at the moment the connection time is about ten minutes... )
16. I'm tempted, having seen the pics. It looks very pretty. I need to win a lottery or two... or sell all that stuff I'm not using. Any trades?
17. Thanks. Sadly, it's too wide for what I need, but have a free bump anyway

Sean's Feedback

I bought his Ritter gigbag. Good clean simple transaction, no issues. I'd happily deal with him again. Thanks Sean
19. Just don't put it down on a wooden floor... you'd never find it.
20. Give the Ibanez GSRM-20 a look. Short scale (28.6"), so very fast and compact; they fit guitar gigbags. They are decently made and finished for the cost, they sound decent, and at £160 or so from Thomann they are not bank-breakers. Just make sure you change the stock strings... eww Thomann links: http://www.thomann.d...gsrm20gb_ca.htm or http://www.thomann.d...srm20gb_bk.htm.
21. And replied.
