1. One string too many, sadly. Is this an American, or a BXP?
2. I bought strings from Mike. All went well, and I would happily deal with him again. Cheers
3. Signed and shared.
4. I traded basses with Alan, and I'm very happy. This is the third time we've dealt, if I remember rightly, which should tell its own story; so it was nice to actually meet him. Good comms, a friendly welcome, all quite painless and I'd have no hesitation in dealing with him again. (Also, he is anything but hamfisted. Just in case you were wondering )
5.
That's a truly awful animation. Is it really necessary?
I agree.
6. Anything particular you're after, trades-wise?
7. I'm guessing this is a Kay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Old-Bass-Guitar-With-Case-/181416173495?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item2a3d3f1fb7
8. You'll never get rid of that one And you might just find you start looking for excuses to play fretless. Kudos!
9. They are lovely. If I have a beef with them it's that they can seem too light...
10. I think we should just brush that hastily under the carpet...
11. What's the neck like? treetrunk, P-ish, J-ish, Peavey?
12.
Also it would be good to rig them all with the same strings, otherwise people will gravitate toward their preferred tension/feel/sound.
This.
13.
And.......................................... ......................... here it is 7000. 6888 of them are probably in the FS sections as well EDIT: I'm going to have a go at breaking the record for not posting! How long do you reckon I can keep it at 7000?
I think the FS ones aren't counted in the total anyway...
14. I bought some leads. A nice clean simple transaction, with extra comms courtesy of his iPad Good deal, no issues, sound guy. Thanks Muzz
15. Damn, that's a weird beast Makes a lot of sense to me; double neck, not much heavier than a full-body bass with a headstock.
16. :runs away from GAS attack: good luck with your sale!
17. The headstock is slightly Ibanez-ish? The diagonal P-pup is unusual IMO.
18. Didn't see it, but there's a G+L which fits that description.
19. The Sound's first album, Jeopardy - 1980?
20. IMO Vox Standards are fine basses. Heavy, and thick in the neck, but they play well and sound good - much better than their expensive Vox Custom cousins, at least to my ear. If I didn't have one already, I'd buy this one. OTOH, this is in better nick than mine (pup excepted)...
