    I have a P-ish body which is Shoreline Gold (or close to it). It will have a J-width neck and P-J Bartolinis, and I think it needs a scratchplate. What colour should the plate be?

[/quote] I would: 1 - Take it off the bass. 2 - Soak it in penetrating oil for a day. 3 - Use pliers to turn the pin, if you can get any purchase. Failing that, use a Dremel or similar to cut a slot in the pin end, so that you can get purchase on it with a screwdriver. Heat or cold might also be useful in freeing the pin. Cold is probably less risky - put it in the freezer overnight.

    I don't think you have. I do think that people like to see a description written by the seller - basses are personal, and not writing it yourself somehow implies you didn't love it. And some people just won't click the link, especially after the "tasty mods" comment in the title. Just my opinion, obviously It's pretty, and the mods do seem impressive. I have too many basses and I'm skint, otherwise I'd have it myself. GLWTS
