1. Just read a quick interview with him, and he mentions a 70s P bass, a 70s Jazz and a Stingray.
2. Never doubted it for a minute mate, love it to bits. Enjoy the DJ, and let me know how the gig goes with it.
3.
You are a f*cking nut case
Indeed sir, I concur .
4. I'll consider trades for a good combo of a simillar value.
5.
Why would you get rid of the best looking bass on the site?
Thanks for that mate, it is nice though. Dunno, I have a disease, I just can't hang on to anything for more than five minutes. The band will quite possibly chuck me out for selling this one though, seriously. PMs replied to thanks.
6. That looks just the ticket, very nice indeed, and a versatile pup config too.
7.
So perseverance does pay off? Might put my GP7 back up.
Best of luck, no-one's interested in mine.
8. 2003 Lakland Darryl Jones in Lake PLacid Blue, Aero pickups, Jeannies White Pearl Scratchplate. I'm after another Stingray, another Marcus Miller jazz (plus cash), Warwick Streamer or a nice Precision in sunburst if possible. 4 stringers only please. Any other suggestions are welcome though, I REALLY fancy a nice streamer, preferably natural in colour. In the case of the Marcus Miller, it would need to be immaculate, with no buckle rash or major dings. I reckon the bass is worth £700 in a trade. It has no rash on the back, but does have two small scratches in the finish. It also has a small ding on the top of the headstock, other than that, I can't find a mark on it. There's no case, but I don't need one this end either as I use Ritter bags. I can deliver anywhere within reason NW England, Midlands etc, but anyway further away we'd have to arrange something, I really don't want to post it unless I have to. Superb bass this, lovely jazz honk from the Aeros, the very pickups Darryl himself requested when the model was designed, not the later Lakland pups (nothing wrong with them either of course). TRADED, thanks for the interest.
9. GAH ! I'd love to do this, just the kind of band I'd aspire to, but waaaay out of my depth too. I know how good Jamie is, and I aint good enough.
10. All sorted and working perfectly again, just a few dry joints apparently. I've put it up for sale now, having bought a small combo instead, good amp for someone. Thanks very much everyone for the help.
11. Trace Elliot GP7SM200 2X10 COMBO & 1153 1X15 CAB. Superb condition, and JUST TODAY came back from having the full once over by Dave Lund in Stockport. It had some dry joints that had developed over its 10 years or so, but has been fully brought up to scratch at a cost of under a ton. This thing is mint, and has its (well used) covers, and has always been stored safely covered. Reason for sale, nowhere to store it, and I'm now using a small combo instead. Top quality Trace tone from a superb example, £400. My job allows me to get out and about a lot, so I could deliver if it was somewhere sensible (North West England ish), otherwise I can meet you somewhere.
12.
Hello, Just bought a DB500 and it's great. Sounds much louder than its 150W, easily gets over the top of our loud drummer. Tone is great (I use electric and double bass) and the programs mean you can switch easily between 2 or 3 sounds. I was worried it wouldn't cope with gigs but I'm not any more!
It was mine, and I miss it terribly, superb amp. Leftysteve......thoughts are with your family.
13.
+alot from me Has repaired and serviced about 2k worth of gear for me. Rayman do you need to borrow an amp for anything important over the next week or so?
Cheers Steve, thanks for the offer mate, but I'm OK for now. Fuse is OK, at least it looks OK, I might get another one just in case. No light at all musematt. When it first died, I unplugged it, then plugged it in again. The power came on, as did the red LED, but only for a minute or so, and it went off again, never to come back on. I'll give Dave Lunt a shout.
14. Thanks Mike, nice to see you back here. Wish I still had my Roland.

16.
Not that this helps, but what's up with it?
Well, I dunno really. I was halfway through a song during the first set on Saturday night, and the amp just went off. I turned around, the band played on without me, I unplugged it, then plugged it in again and it came back on for a minute, then died again. Now it just isn't firing up at all. I've tried other power leads just in case, but nothing. I've had it out of the cabinet (in front of the audience) and no sign of anything loose or whatever. Pro-Lines suggestion wasn't very helpful. Because of its age, he just refused to touch it, saying he'd never find the replacement parts. He suggested buying a new amp altogether..............hmmmmmm. I'm in trouble now. No amp, my trusty Roland sold on, and no-one to repair the Trace. It's such a nice amp, mint condition and all that, but I think this is the last straw, time to move it on if I can locate the fault and fix it.
17. Anyone know of a good repairers I can take my Trace combo to in the North west? It's an old (but immaculate) GP7SM200, not one of the new models. Pro-Line in Cheshire have turned me away with no suggestions for alternatives. Any ideas??
18. SUPERB bass this, looks and sounds amazing, and plays itself. A very good purchase for someone, I wish it was me.
