  1. 1991, since 1987 I’d been in two bands in no succession with guys who were desperate to make it, all that showed me was music was my hobby, what I did for fun and that I had no intention of making it my day job.
  2. Shame, would have loved to see adjustable drive/distortion/whatever people want to call it on a Bass Driver which doesn`t affect the overall volume, similar to that which is on Ampegs SCR-DI. The Ampeg is a great pedal but it`s not as good soundwise - imo - as a Sansamp.
  3. Yes still here, PM for details
  4. Well I haven’t got a current one and have no desire for a new one, I far prefer basses.
  5. I’m pretty sorted at present, got all the gear I need (and in true Basschat style obviously much more as well).
  6. I was fortunate enough to be at that gig @PaulThePlug, awesome though it was so loud it gave my elbows hearing loss
  7. On this eve at 10pm Thats me sorted
  8. The Sansamp Bass Driver in particular but I’m sure many would like the feature throughout your range. I’d just love a way of increasing the drive without also increasing the volume for some songs, similar to how this can be done on Ampegs SCR-DI.
  9. Same, I still can’t sing along singing the proper lyrics, but those instead
  10. They were great, saw them live a couple of times, was rather taken aback at the first gig when they did a cover of George Michaels I’m Your Man.
  11. Sansamp Bass Driver DI, it just “works”
  12. Hanoi Rocks - All Those Wasted Years
  13. Exactly, my Ampeg SCR-DI has a gain/drive control on it where the overall volume remains constant, that’s what I’d love on a Sansamp.
  14. Providing all expenses were covered I’d do it for my salary. Imagine being able to say “ My job is being the bassist for The Rolling Stones”. Not ‘arf.
  15. Tech21 to issue a Sansamp where when you add Gain it doesn’t increase the volume.
  16. Freddy Mercury Auction I wouldn’t have bought him
  17. Yep, I heard Angry on Radio 2 earlier, sounded pretty decent
  18. At the rate he goes through them it must be pretty much all of them
  19. And was one of the best Precisions around, amazing basses
  20. Undoubtably the Basschat way
  21. Same, usually about £50 but as they last about a year I don’t think that’s too bad
  22. Do you blokes know what it is yet?
