  1. I arranged them like that just to annoy you!
  2. When you have this many basses you don't get through strings so quickly, so after the initial investment on a set per bass the replacements are fewer and further between! Strings going dead? Pick up a different bass! lol! πŸ˜‚
  3. My local is Andertons in Guildford. Friendly staff, internet price matching, decent gear selection (considering it isn't a dedicated bass shop) that includes Spector, accommodating with requirements/orders, excellent online site, a decent in-house repair tech, long opening hours and an extremely helpful guitar/bass section manager in Lee Voss. No complaints and I'm lucky to have them nearby....
  4. I work in the music industry. Why do I have so many? Because I'm passionate about my instruments as a player and collector.... and because I can :)
  5. My Spector NS2's get a lot of love - they just feel and sound perfect to me. I'd use my Spectors for everything if I could (and they'd nail them all) but I take the projects I do seriously in looks and sound so Lizzy tribute gets P basses, Hair Rock covers gets Hamers/Jacksons etc, 80's hi-fi pop gets Wals, disco functions get J bass etc etc
  6. Here's an old (almost all in one) pic at the studio...... painted Ibanez sold...
  7. We posted at the same time! πŸ˜‚
  8. The bandwidth needed for 69 high quality bass pics would crash the site....... and take me all day! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  9. Yes. Those six string heathens which cannot be named are kept in the corner, gathering dust, where they belong.....
  10. I have access to a decent climate controlled storage facility/practice studio...... so they aren't kept in the house. The basses.... not my wife & son!! πŸ˜‚
  11. OK, finally got my list together....! 12. I'll be along shortly...... once I've got my whole list together...!!πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  13. Are these push on ones or with allen key tightening?
  14. OK...... so who's bringing what? I'll start it off.... copy and paste the following and add your gear: 1) Cetera - Spector NS2 & Legend 4X, Dingwall NG2, Epiphone Vintage Pro Thunderbird, Yamaha BB3000, GK800RB head, Genz Benz Neox212 cab, Tech-21 Dug DP3X preamp/pedal
  15. Love it - found my 'tone' for the heavier tracks I wanted it for.
  16. I used to do this...... but now, with 60+ basses and 10+ guitards, I don't bother. With any new one I just say I've had it ages and it was in a case in the corner......

    Nash

Bought some pickups from Nash. Great comms and fast postage. Recommended!
  18. I'll take them! Please PM me payment info. Cheers!
  19. Are they the quick clip version?
  20. I've been known to press the 'Post EQ' button after he's plugged it into my amp
  21. That's because the sound engineers at big festivals take the bass pre-EQ and just use the desk to give a straight bass sound, rather than the one you have spent time making your own..... :( To many of them "bass is bass"....

    feedback for Deedee

Bought a lovely Spector from Dan. Clear communication and bass brilliantly packed for courier. Thanks! Recommended!
  23. Pics and vids please or it never happened πŸ˜‹
  24. Yep, I a/b'd the Barefaced against my Genz with a friend who reviews for a major bass magazine and we BOTH agreed that the Genz sounded better and was much better value,
  25. Earth, Wind & Fire last night at Bournemouth Int'l Centre. Uplifting, positive, feel-good gig. Great tunes, grooves and vocals...... and spine shivers in the build up towards the end of 'Fantasy' :)
