*SOLD* Sire V7 Marcus Miller Jazz - Antique White

I LOVE this bass...... but need to move it on to clear some funds for a possible upcoming purchase. I'll be sad to see it go as it is a FANTASTIC, high quality and incredible value for money bass with a monstrous selection of tones on board.... but needs be.... :(

Often compared to basses 3 or 4 times it's price and always comes out on top!

  • Body Material  :  North American Alder which is known for its strong clear full-bodied sound, with beefy mids and excellent lows - perfect for the traditional jazz bass sound.
  • Neck Material : 1 Piece Hardmaple
  • Neck Shape : C-Shape
  • Scale : 34”
  • Fingerboard : Rosewood
  • Fingerboard Radius : 7’25”
  • Frets : Medium Small, 20 Frets
  • String Nut : Natural Bone 38mm width - considered to deliver more balanced, clearer and smoother tone than plastic or eurite material
  • Binding : 1 ply Ivory
  • Inlay : WH Pearloid Block
  • Neck Joint : 4 Bolt Steel Square Plate
  • Pickups : Marcus Super Jazz pickup set made with US fomvar coil, fibre bobbin and alnico 5 magnets in order to reproduce the traditional vintage jazz bass sound.
  • Electronics : 18V Marcus Heritage 3 Band Preamp with Middle Frequency Control and active/passive switch
  • Controls : Volume / Tone (Dual Pot) | Pickup Blender | Treble | Middle / Middle Frequency (Dual Pot) | Bass, Mini Toggle (Active / Passive )
  • Bridge : Heavy Mass Standard with string-thru-body capability
  • Tuning Gear : Premium Open-Gear
  • Hardware Finish : Chrome
  • Pickguard : Tortoise

Condition is excellent/mint minus as it's really only had home/studio use. Controls are all solid and reactive, though vol/tone pot feels a little looser than the rest. Currently strung with 45-105 roundwounds.

Payment by Cash (on collection), Bank Transfer or Paypal (you pay any/all fees). I can meet/deliver within the South East for agreed fuel cost or can courier at cost to be agreed with buyer.

Please see my extensive feedback for assurance of a clean, honest transaction. Thanks!

Edit: Withdrawn, as I now have plans to sort out the body colour issue.
There's not any real need to sell this now, but it doesn't get used any more and so I'll leave it here in case it could benefit anyone with the the same playing but different colour preferences.
Originally bought on this forum, it's a WD Music neck (dots on both sides so a left-hander could presumably use it) with an ebony board on a body made by Ernie McMillen. The pickups are Villex passive (stacked volume, passive mid and treble cut) and although there's a panel on the back there's nothing underneath it. The strings currently fitted are LaBella Copper white nylon, .050-.105. With the light body and these low tension strings I've found very comfortable to play.
I discovered that a crackling neck pickup volume control seems to have been a loose wire - I'll have to re-solder this if I can find my soldering iron or borrow one [Edit: Fixed - see below]. Everything else seems to be in order.
Collection would be preferred so it can be tried; I'm working in Oxford and live in West Oxfordshire, and could perhaps meet somewhere or deliver for petrol money. If required to post it would probably have to be Parcelforce ; in this case I'd have to include a gig bag (to be taken into account if you want to make an offer). I had a bass come over from Japan in said bag without damage.
Please ask if you have any questions.

This is my Patrick Eggle Milan 5 Pro Bass with case.
Made in the UK in 1994.
This bass sounds 90% as good as my Warrior so I've decided to put it up for sale or trade.

      Original Kent Armstrong pickups.K
Kent Armstrong 2 band active EQ.
Controls are Volume / Blend / Bass / Treble.
2 mini switches, one for each pickup. Select between Parallel coils / single coil / Series Coils.
Refinished in fantastic bright green colour.
      Strings are NEW Elrick 50-130.
      4.1kg on my kitchen scales.
Low action, around 2mm at the 17th fret.
Has a few scratches and marks from gigging.
The coil tap switches add so many bass sounds you can find your ideal very easy.
      Comes with original gig bag.
Prefer collection so that the bass is not damaged.
Postage is £20 UK and £50 EU.

Brand new, unplayed condition. Plays perfectly with no issues whatsoever. Looked after like it was my own child. The original gold hardware was swapped out for Warwick Chrome parts by me, just a personal preference, and the original hardware is included. It would these days be called Masterbuilt. AAA Flame maple top, Maple body and Neck with Ekanga stripes. Tigerstripe Ebony fingerboard with Fisheye inlays. Bell brass frets. MEC 3 Band active electronics with push-pull active/passive mode. Comes in at 3.51KG. Made in Markneukirchen, Germany. Comes with a Warwick gig bag and all paperwork/candy. Shipping in the UK (uninsured) is £32 and the EU, £55. The actual bass for sale is shown in this video by Andy Irvine. Now £1650.00, not the original listing price.

For sale is this rather lovely, yet surplus to requirements jazz bass pickguard.  Not sure of the manufacturer or even how to describe it colour-wise.  It is very striking though.
      £18 posted to UK mainland.
