  1. Phil Jones Bass H-850
  2. Mothers Milk here. BSSM get samey and goes on a bit.
  3. And here's his much loved Afterneath demo at Wunjo's on Denmark St starring "fidgeting man who can't get comfortable on a grubby guitar shop floor" (spoiler alert, it's me)
  4. doesn't matter! I meant singer vs band rather than bassist vs band.
  5. what a monster player. love this intro and subsequent maelstrom from The Mars Volta. hope he's well on the road to recovery after his bike crash in 2020
  6. Radiohead (although more a case of like the band not the singer. did we do this in another thread?)
  7. I have zero Apple products. I suspect AirTags won't work for me right? What's the Android alternative?
  8. As much as I love the original Gates Of Delirium, the live version on Yesshows makes it clear that they've spent many stage hours getting it to groove even harder than it did on Relayer. Also, it shows that the best bits of Topographic Oceans can be distilled into an admittedly still overlong 30 minute version of Ritual.
  9. tbh I don't like any version of this song but anyway
  10. Is this thread anything to do with the new Duran Duran album? https://www.nme.com/news/music/duran-duran-to-cover-billie-eilish-talking-heads-on-new-halloween-themed-album-danse-macabre-3490754
  11. Also recently there was a thread here on BC championing the "Bass-lead-amp" setup where those of an anti-pedal bent championed their simple and direct setup. Aren't we a delightfully contrary bunch! (wouldn't have it any other way tbh)
  12. ok so I've watched the video now top of my mind is where is the pedal board run-down? (probably somewhere else on your channel but anyway)
  13. I say this as a massive fan of both but Umphrey's McGee and (to a lesser extent) Phish
  14. Not being funny but I've done my research. Change my mind.
  15. This is what stands out to me most (although I've not watched the video yet 😀). It makes me sad that posters (not just on BC) who think it's necessary to back themselves into a corner of thinking that what you they to say is going to be disapproved of in some way that it'll need to be deleted. Also, we have a crack team of admins and mods who can do that kind of thing without needing to be given permission!
  16. I wonder how one refers to the wider family
  17. say no more
  18. This lot has opened a fair few doors
  19. There's nothing wrong with being sexy
  20. PICNIC TIME FOR TEDDY BEARS (terrifying when played on a decades-old ICV megaphone)
  21. When Tony Levin was taken ill on the ABWH/Yes tour, Jeff Berlin stepped in with less than a weeks notice and took his place, playing a two and half set of Yes and related music. From interview at http://www.nfte.org/interviews/berlin_interview.html "I wrote them [the charts] out on Sunday and Monday night. Wednesday we were rehearsing and Thursday I was on the gig. Now if I didn't have the background and experience I probably would never have been able to do a Yes show in two days" Any advance on two days?
