  1. This is my Novation BassStation analogue bass synth - original & best, funky classic retro sounds, originally produced in 1993 and responsbile for some of the most iconic and classic synth sounds of modern music. See https://novationmusic.com/articles/the-bass-station-story/ for the Novation BassStation story from the manufacturers. The synth is in 100% full working order, and as it has only seen home/studio use, it is in excellent physical condition, with no yellowing to the keys nor cracks to the case or controls. All connections and controls are sturdy and crackle-free, and the synth has been tested with a MIDI foot-pedal controller (the Kenton K8) to ensure MIDI signals are received as expected. Also included are the original box, internal packaging and manual, and an aftermarket power supply - the synth requires 9V DC centre positive, and can also be powered by batteries (not included here). The box is not pristeen but has done its job of protecting the keyboard (please ask if you'd like photos of the box/packaging). Further photos are available on request. The synth has been stored flat and boxed, away from light, heat, strong odours, smoke, damp and anything else that might adversely affect the product, and kept in a pet- and smoke-free home. It will be packaged appropriately for postage in bubble wrap and robust packaging. Postage: The synth plus box and packaging will be shipped as a Royal Mail Medium Package using Special Delivery Guaranteed by 1pm, as this service provides adequate insurance as per guidelines at the Royal Mail website. The quoted price on this listing includes the cost of postage to UK addresses. Sorry, no overseas postage for this item. Also I am happy to meet in central/SE London for personal collection - for example Waterloo, Charing Cross, London Bridge, City, or nearby - but please consider this as "delivery" rather than an opportunity to try-out or inspect, ie the transaction will need to be completed in advance of exchange. Please drop me a line to ask more about this. I'm also advertising on eBay and reverb.com, where you'll see the same photos - but a lower price for basschat. Any questions, please ask!
  2. I'm moving on my Moog Taurus 3 bass pedals, as they deserve to be out there somewhere shaking foundations. I've had them since new, and they've been used only at home. They are in amazing condition, and I have no hesitation in using the reverb.com "Mint" condition description, which states "items are completely blemish-free and have not been modified in any way." The firmware is up-to-date with the most recent version from Moog. As well as capturing the sounds of the original Moog Taurus I, the T3 opens up all kinds of options for new sounds and controls including LFOs, external CVs and arpeggiation. Everything is original - box, manual, power cable, and paperwork from Moog. Also included is the official Moog dust cover, which is also in excellent condition as the pedals have always been kept in their original box when not in use. The T3 is heavy - so this sale is collection only, although get in touch to discuss options. Collection is from London SE4, although I'm open to travelling short distances to meet and exchange. This will require that the buyer complete the purchase from their side in advance of the exchange - please consider this as "delivery" rather than an opportunity to try-out or inspect. I'm also advertising on eBay and reverb.com, where you'll see the same photos - but a lower price for basschat. Any questions - please get in touch, additional photos are available on request. Where basschat folk have left me feedback you'll see it at https://www.basschat.co.uk/topic/78478-feedback-for-toneknob/.
  3. And here's his much loved Afterneath demo at Wunjo's on Denmark St starring "fidgeting man who can't get comfortable on a grubby guitar shop floor" (spoiler alert, it's me)
  4. doesn't matter! I meant singer vs band rather than bassist vs band.
  5. what a monster player. love this intro and subsequent maelstrom from The Mars Volta. hope he's well on the road to recovery after his bike crash in 2020
  6. Radiohead (although more a case of like the band not the singer. did we do this in another thread?)
  7. I have zero Apple products. I suspect AirTags won't work for me right? What's the Android alternative?
  8. As much as I love the original Gates Of Delirium, the live version on Yesshows makes it clear that they've spent many stage hours getting it to groove even harder than it did on Relayer. Also, it shows that the best bits of Topographic Oceans can be distilled into an admittedly still overlong 30 minute version of Ritual.
  9. Is this thread anything to do with the new Duran Duran album? https://www.nme.com/news/music/duran-duran-to-cover-billie-eilish-talking-heads-on-new-halloween-themed-album-danse-macabre-3490754
  10. Also recently there was a thread here on BC championing the "Bass-lead-amp" setup where those of an anti-pedal bent championed their simple and direct setup. Aren't we a delightfully contrary bunch! (wouldn't have it any other way tbh)
  11. ok so I've watched the video now top of my mind is where is the pedal board run-down? (probably somewhere else on your channel but anyway)
  12. I say this as a massive fan of both but Umphrey's McGee and (to a lesser extent) Phish
  13. Not being funny but I've done my research. Change my mind.
  14. This is what stands out to me most (although I've not watched the video yet 😀). It makes me sad that posters (not just on BC) who think it's necessary to back themselves into a corner of thinking that what you they to say is going to be disapproved of in some way that it'll need to be deleted. Also, we have a crack team of admins and mods who can do that kind of thing without needing to be given permission!
  15. I wonder how one refers to the wider family
  16. This lot has opened a fair few doors
