  1. Stranded and Manifesto are my favourites. Session ace Alan Spenner played on the latter, and he and Gary Tibbs (latter of & The Ants) leapfrogged around the line-ups for a while in the late 70s and early 80s. If you're a fan of Alan Spenner from this era then you should really hear what he's doing on the original Jesus Christ Superstar, eg
  2. I had to send something this week so looked into this carefully. The exclusions detail says "Musical instruments are excluded from enhanced compensation. Guitars and brass instruments are particularly prone to damage and should be packed very carefully, in a hard case" (ie regular compensation applies). https://www.parcelforce.com/help-and-advice/sending/items-we-exclude-compensation Also (sorry I know this isn't helping at this point) "Musical instruments should be sent in a hard case. Gig bags or trapezoid cardboard guitar boxes are not suitable" (https://www.parcelforce.com/help-and-advice/sending/packaging-guidelines) Still, a rubbish experience and a shame to break a perfectly fine bass - "It'll fix up ok" is no consolation, sorry to hear it happened at all.
  3. Got one of these to go with my Daphne Blue JMJ sig Mustang. Also got matching straplocks.
  4. Franck Carducci plus glamorous assistant Mary Reynaud
  5. He's doing a bit of 12-string in the instrumental, around 7m30s. However he skips the 12-string part in the earlier section "the mountain cuts off ... (etc)" Hackett's had his fair share of double-neckers, best of the bunch is Lee Pomeroy though.
  6. Jonas Hellborg with Wal fretted/fretless
  7. Here are some notes (btw Happy Birthday Billy Sheehan, 70 today! 🎂)
  8. Mark Egan's double-neck fretted/fretless is on reverb.com for a smidge over £6k https://reverb.com/uk/item/55494343-pedulla-mark-egan-mark-egan-double-neck (btw mate for that much you could at least get some decent photos)
  9. Ffwd to about 9m30s (other examples may exist)
  10. If it was the Hootenanny show they'd be playing Oud Lang Syne
  11. ^^ btw, around 3m15 there's an Oud player in the background scratching his head
  12. Surprised this one hasn't appeared here yet. I wonder if there's a trussrod programmer in the crew.
  13. Never really had a problem! You get used to it, especially after the adamantium infusions. Nice wide and padded strap helps as well.
  14. Smashing, any idea of the serial number? Just curious. Similar to mine but you have bridge covers (don't think mine ever did), mine has two pickups on the bass side.
  15. And this one is still mine - Shergold Custom Double 12/4
  16. This used to be mine - Shergold 4/8-string (both fretted). Eventually PX'd at Wunjo's for something much more useable. The Shergold sat in Wunjo's window for about a week then set off on a new adventure.
  17. Jake from Wickham Audio did a great setup on my JMJ Mustang. He was based in Wunjo, but has his own place here: https://www.wickhamaudio.co.uk/
  18. I'm basing my guess on how amateur it looks and the mailto popup with a gmail address when you click though. But then again it's on his facebook page as well. Meanwhile I tend to have the Carol Kaye video with him running through the back of my mind first when anyone mentions him
  19. I think it might be a scam http://genesimmonsabbeyroadstudios.com/
  20. I'd be totally up for a rocket science sub-forum.
  21. Yepp, they're great. I was at both shows - only caught half of Brass Against the first night thanks to the daft ticketing and security setup
