  1. Past hour
  2. Looks nice, and a great price. Must resist temptation! Good luck with the sale, Phil
  3. A lot of Geoff Banks instruments were sold at Gardiner Houlgate in March 2017. I can’t post a link to the catalogue but it is in the “sale results” on their site and I would be surprised if your bass is not there. As to whether it is worth more money, based on the prices raised at that auction, I would say not a significant increase.
  4. The Getz helping out here. Insane amount of pedals think just going to get the MXR in my price range and that, the radial and the Sushibox sounded great to me. In any near me price range
  5. My Orange Terror Bass head in a Custom made sleeve. This amp was bought new by me and I converted a damaged orange guitar cab to make the sleeve Its easily removable and comes with a home made cover also the original Orange Carry case The Cab was Built up by me from a professionally built " Speakerbuild " cabinet and crossover plus all the recommended parts. Its very lightweight and sounds awesome Comes with a Pro made cover I live near Selby and you are welcome to come and try out this great rig O
  6. Think that kind of sums it up for me. I know if i take my VM4 i'll have a bass that will get me close to what i want and need. Its very adaptable for all venues. I'm always more comfortable taking my VM4. Dave
  7. It certainly is, thank you. Much appreciated. I didn't want to go hassling the seller for dims etc if it was generally accepted to be a 'fat neck' period. I'd rather just carry on looking if that was the case as I'd be wasting his time. In light of your measurements, I think I'll follow it up.
  8. Also this might have something to do with how low you are wearing the bass - the lower it is the harder to get your hand round. But as a primary ibanez player, it is probably the depth of the neck rather than the width. i mean I can't deal with wide necks but I do play 5 strings, so there is more width required there (but I dont' go above 17.5mm spacing if I can help it). Ibanez do have narrow string spacing in most of the basses, but there is a limit to how narrow it goes. I would say I have never had my hand hard against the bottom of the neck. I don't have big hands either but not sure how you can move your hand smoothly if you are doing that, maybe this is a technique thing rather than a string spacing thing. In fact now I check, I don't touch the bottom of the neck when I am playing the E (or even B).
  9. £105 POSTED I bought this thinking I'd be doing a lot of practice away from my laptop/interface, but that never ended up happening. And I want to free up funds for other things. Looks like there were some feet on the underside at some point but these have been removed. Let me know if you would rather pick up, I'm in Surrey. 10. Sonny T's white Dolphin must surely be a custom, given the level he is playing at and his long association with Warwick. I'd be very surprised if it were a set net under the paint. I'm not sure when the Dolphin SN went out of production. Ish Guitars in the US have a few limited run 'new but old' Dolphin SN models in stock on their website, made as part of a limited from bodies and necks and that had been carved in the early 00's but never assembled. Ish Guitars and Warwick both stated that those were the last of their kind since they don't offer the SN option anymore. I'm not sure what a new Dolphin would cost and, bearing in mind that the SN was previously the 'cheaper' option for buying a new Dolphin, it doesn't sound as though these SN's that Ish are selling would represent any sort of savings over just buying a new Pro I. But they might, because the cost of new Warwick basses is absolutely bonkers. The link below takes you to an archived version of the old American Warwick bass website with the Dolphin SN on it. https://web.archive.org/web/20030212125944/http://www.warwickbass.com/basses/dolphinsn.html
  11. Hi, I have a sadowsky will lee bass. I tried to adjust one of the trim pots and the plastic housing became detached. This left the housing looking like this ... Any ideas about how I could re-attach the plastic cover? Cheers. Alan
  12. It's incredibly cheap if genuine. I'd be tempted if I lived in Norway. Whilst the string spacing may be narrow, an instrument like that would surely attract a player with an eye for adjusting technique, not the 'if nut width i'nt loyke an auld Pea-Bayss I can't ploy it' types. I think I could have a load of fun with it. For recording at home or playing live it would be great. All that facility in one instrument and a very light kerb weight to boot.

  16. ONE LEFT – PRICE DROP TO £375. Best speaker cabinet I have used: selling due to downsizing. The David Eden 500 watt D210XST Cab is loud enough to be heard and yet still small enough to be used at home or in a small studio. This 2 x 10" cabinet handles more power than many 4 x 10" cabs on the market. The D210XST offers huge bottom end with its cleverly-designed tuned and ported cabinet construction and speaker selection: the low end is full but tight, the mids are open and well-defined and the highs are clear and crisp. Durable build quality makes this ideal for touring and live performances. Massive internal bracing prevents vibration and keeps the sound deep, tight and clear. The exclusive Eden Cast Frame loudspeakers and Eden Cast Bell low distortion tweeter horns are designed, hand-built and tested in their own factory in the USA. Very Good condition. Comes with a new official Eden dustcover. Power Handling: 500 Watts Impedance: 8 Ohms Speakers: 2x10" Eden-spec Eminence speakers Tweeter: Eden Cast Bell low distortion Crossover: 3.5KHz @ 18dB Frequency Response: 30Hz - 14KHz Sensitivity: 103dB SPL Connections: Parallel 1/4 Inch and Speakon Dimensions: 23" w x 18" h x 18.5" d Weight: 59lbs / 26.8kg Only £375. 17. PRICE DROP – NOW £130 Excellent condition. This totally transparent compressor allows your full dynamic range to shine through until your signal reaches the compression threshold, which is indicated by the ten, highly-visible gain-reduction status LEDs. Only £150. Collection from East London preferred. May ship at buyer expense.

  19. Trace Elliot 4x10, 1x15 cabinets and foot switch. Both cabinets used recently and regularly and are fully functional. The 15” cab looks a bit rough but sounds great. Both are heavy, solid cabinets. Foot switch does not work with my head…not sure which it does work with. Might consider trade for an Elf or similar.
  20. if you have the magazine and the bass is distinctive enough - ie it has a distinctive grain pattern that is visible in the photo, it might serve as proof, but a letter from Geoff or Cliff with details would add more weight to the proof
  21. nice collection of bass toys 🙂 which one or ones do you use most for recording ? what into what ? and why ? cheers
