  1. Past hour
  2. Ditto. Never had an issue with any of the Schaller's I've fitted to instruments over the last 25 years.
  3. @lee650 has/had one and spoke very highly of it
  4. Just to check though (as I know US sites can sometimes be a bit fiddly with their prices) - is that $500 including sales tax?
  5. lol….. I wondered if I’d be asked that!! Absolutely not! I’ve never seen one go for that price. I’m sensible enough to know my limits and that exceeded them by some margin. I do wonder if I’ve shot myself in the foot by raving about them so much 😆
  6. I don’t understand. Is there more than one version of EQ02?
  7. I have a simple metric which I apply to my non-essential purchases, be they bass-related or otherwise; when I'm not at school (I work as a teacher in a small independent SEN school) I supplement my income by working on a farm, mostly doing the menial jobs. If I want to buy something, I work out how many hours of sh*t shovelling I have to do in order to fund that purchase. If it seems like a fair trade, I buy the item. If not, I manage without. I'm not that bothered by the cost, necessarily, in terms of pounds, but knowing that hard graft in the piddling rain on Tom Owen's farm funds such purchases makes me take a long hard look before I spend the profits of those hours on stuff I don't really need (like the American Original J-Bass I have my eye on, for example).
  8. Great one, thanks t-h, I also forgot how good Blackheart man album is today
  9. Just purchased the Vanderclay cab from James Great guy and trusted bass chatter
  10. General Discussion would be fine.
  11. In General Discussion or other?

  13. As Bunny Wailer is flavour of the day, thought I'd repost this - 😎
  14. I think it’s only visible to supporting members

  17. Post again, in the form that I recommended, and I'm sure help and advice will come.
  18. Can't find the sub-section you mention?
  19. Thanks for that.... this probably would have been the route I took but as my 2 basses are relatively rare and my health has prevented me from keeping in touch I genuinely have no idea, I thought a bit of friendly expert advice would help me in this process but it seems for some reason not to be the case. Cheers
  20. UK postage included, no original box but will be well packed, velcro on the bottom. TC Spectracomp, exc condition £50
  21. I have a Sandberg Electra. If you're havering over this, just buy it, seriously. I also have a higher end Sandberg and these easily hold their own alongside their more expensive stable mates. The look feel and sound is extraordinarily good.
  22. About last night: The other day I was approached by Jimi Crutchley (Quireboys) regarding the Brooks Fenderbird I had built. He is on a world tour as tour manager with Glenn Hughes. And yesterday the caravan visited De Boerderij in Zoetermeer for Glenn's Deep Purple show. Which is only an hours drive from where I live. Jimi invited me to the soundcheck to put the Brooks Fenderbird through its paces, over Glenn's bass rig. Jimi turns out to be a huge John Entwistle fanatic. And for years he had been looking for a good Fenderbird like the one Peter Cook built for John Entwistle. He had previously bought one from another builder, but that one was very disappointing. And he is very happy that he has finally found a proper Fenderbird!
  23. There is a subscription charge for placing 'For Sale' ads in the marketplace (£7 for a 'one-off' ad, £20 for a whole year of unlimited ad posting...). All too often, a 'What's it worth..?' post comes up, which looks very much like an underhand 'For Sale' ad, but without paying the fee. That's probably why your post has gone. What's the answer..? Firstly, look up prices in the BC Marketplace for equivalent instruments, or on other sales outlets, and judge for yourself. If you want/need advice, no photos, no mention of selling, and a simple description of make, model and year will get a 'ball-park' figure, without transgression. Once you have a sum in mind, pay the fee for the service that suits you and place a 'For Sale' ad. Hope this helps...
