  8. There are currently some incredible value fivers in the classifieds here...
  9. So, a quick (late) roundup of the state of play at the end of April. 4 brave soldiers fell, an increase of 2 on the previous month. That leaves 27 still standing. This news is already out of date. But that's for May's report.
  10. It’s only just May so plenty of time to falter. Not that I will of course….. 🤔
  11. I was playing G# D# G# C# F# in my band but i'm going to give A# D# G# C# F# a shot instead. Just because I have no idea how my new bass (34 inch scale) would handle G#. I do however have a 34 inch scale 160 (or 165) string set from Newtone if anyone needs.. Unlikely to need it now!
  12. Today
  13. Ewan sold an ACG to me last year, and very happy I am with it, too. It's led me down the path of no return, mind you, because then I bought another ACG on here and now I have ordered one from Alan. ACG: the Pringles of bass!
  14. Hi all, once again I appreciate the recommendations!! I’m rather smitten by the mtd super 5, so working hard on my man maths skills. cheers Neil
  15. Agreed - it's does so much more than I thought it would..
  16. Hats off to all of you who play this fiendishly difficult stuff in odd tunings! Can’t get my head around it. Been ages since I’ve had some metal in my life… I’m going to have a good listen to some of this stuff whilst I’m doing my cleaning tomorrow 🤣🤘🏻
  17. Holy fairy cakes Batman that is nice
  18. Somewhere near a P bass position will work for a single pickup . A few mm , or even cm will not hurt . Nearer neck will be darker , nearer bridge will have more treble . There really is no right or wrong . Just get them in and play it and see . Its amazing how much can be done with minor eq changes and right hand position .
  19. MXR M234 Analog Chorus pedal In excellent condition. Has Velcro on base £75 to include UK delivery
  20. ZVEX Fuzz Factory in unmarked condition and no Velcro. £110 to include UK P&P
  21. Thank you for the comments, they are the most comfortable basses I have ever played and perfectly lightweight and balanced whilst still feeling substantial.
