If you have the pedals I would recommend capturing them, the new v2 captures can even capture comps I’ve been using my full size QC alongside preamps and drives that i couldn’t replace but with the new capture tech I could definitely run the QC on its own

Ooo. Just watched Erik Arko's video about it and I'm impressed, although he was using it with a bunch of other pedals. I'd want a standalone unit and just use what's in it, probably with an expression pedal. QC users - are there any good models of the MXR DynaComp and Bass DI+ out there? Those are kinda the two essential pieces of my effects chain, and if I can get them in the QC, I'm all in for it. They're not in the list of built-in effects, so where might one look for them?

I can’t comment on the HILS, but I do have the Ibanez EHB5MSBSP with the Fishman Fluence pickups which is awesome, and might be worth checking out if you like the form of the Ibanez EHB. The side dots on it are also useless though!

I personally don't like these units. Thank you anyway.

They're good.

A new interface pedal from EHX: https://www.ehx.com/products/effects-interface/ "Pedalboard Mode lets you run your guitar through any of your favorite plugins from your DAW and run them back into your signal chain for full hybrid rig integration. ...... The Electro-Harmonix Effects Interface Hardware Plugin knocks down the walls between physical and plugin effects, effortlessly turning your pedals into outboard gear and your plugins into pedals mounted to your pedalboard, all with a simple USB connection."

Bought these recently here and they’re great but I decided to go with my preferred choice on a bass I’ve modded for a particular situation. In my trial with them I found them to be quiet and even with low output as described (alnico standard) but much better than stock pickups. In other words...pro improvement. My East UK active preamp has gain adjustment so that didn’t pose a problem. I thought they were vintage voiced (60’s) but even slap style sounded pleasant. I preferred the more hi-fi sound of the EMG for the stuff I’m doing (plus I have more vintage styled instruments available). I also did the series/parallel switching with them and that was great (versatile option) but you can choose either as both ways sounded great. The original post: https://www.basschat.co.uk/topic/518269-celinder-ss-humbucker-alnico-jazz-pickups-sold/#comment-5561431 I have epoxied the tabs so they’re much better and poses no problems to mount the pickups. I’m asking what I paid for them and this includes UK shipping.
