  2. TC Electronic is a great choice if you can bag one. Good luck! 😎👍 The suspense is killing me...
  3. Not tried Ernie Ball bass strings. I am sure someone else on here has.
  4. 15 metre stage snake box. 12-way 8/4 Fully tested using the cable tester I borrowed from work
  5. Trace Elliot gear is pro-level and beginner-priced.
  6. Just read a bit about elite strings and I think I'll give them a miss. Ernie ball do nickel round wound medium scale in 45-65-85-105 though. Any thoughts?
  7. They're a singer. What else did you expect?
  8. For Sale is my mid-80's Yamaha BB1100s. This is the active/passive switchable version with 3-band eq (in active mode). Everything works, but it has the usual minor dings of a 30+ year old instrument. I have tried to capture them as best as I can in the pics. Made in Taiwan. Weighs 3.5kg and comes with new Rotosound RS66 fitted. Had a new switchcraft jack socket not long ago as the original one had got a bit intermittent. Everything else is original. Comes with a lightweight hard case and I have a shipping box so can courier for £25-ish (£15-ish more if full insurance is required). Or can meet up in or around Norwich. (No trades/swaps thanks - I need the bass count to go down!)

  9. I would take absolutely nothing from my technique! It involves quite a lot of looking at the dots on the side of the neck and playing fretboard twister to get a finger in the right place 😂 Great bass stance!
  10. Yes - That's I think you're probably right. In reality, it isn't the alleged major change of musical direction that I (maybe/probably) wouldn't have been interested in that angered me, it's the sly and underhand way that I was replaced and ousted that grated my gears. For me, that's not an acceptable way of behaving in any walk of life. I've moved on, and I'm already talking to another band about possibly joining them.
  11. Cheers! So, it's not a Rickenbacker and it's not Japanese. Possible Korean (with the Treble pickup in the right place). Is there any evidence of Bruce Foxton playing one?
  12. Hi, if you click on the link below there’s a Chap showing how - hopefully🙏🙏 Sorty about the advert at the start🙈🙈 All the best, Tim https://youtu.be/lDCJLnrwr4o

  14. I erm…….have a couple awaiting approval at the moment…..hint, hint 🤣.
  15. Selling my two Markbass Energy 2x10 cabs. These are the super lightweight cabs weighing only 11Kgs. Both 8 Ohm 400w. Both in excellent condition, one having a cover. I've rehearsed and gigged using both cabs which in some venues may have been a little overkill but I don't like pushing speakers too hard. They give out a surprisingly 'big' sound and I've usually rolled of the bass a little. I like them a lot and being so light has been a huge help to me due to my knackered foot! But I need to free up some cash as I'm still not able to work full time. The opportunity to get a single cab solution at a great price was too good to pass on so I need to find them a new home. Priced as a pair but I'm happy to sell individually. Cab with cover - £330 (first 6 pictures) Cab without cover £300 (pics 7-12) No offers or trades please. These are priced a fair bit lower than what I paid for them Collection or meet if not too far. I don't have any suitable boxes or packaging for shipping.

  16. Lovely looking bass. As well as the truss-rod, do these have carbon rods reinforcing the neck?
  17. I just collected a GSS Sumo amp from Mike and as well as enjoying an absolutely brilliant process for buying the amp, he made me simply a perfect cup of tea and we had a lovely chat! Thanks, Mike, I really appreciate your time setting the amp up for me to try with a bass for a few moments, and what a lovely bass that bitsa-GB-Lakland was. I've not often gotten on with Barolini's but they do a smashing job in that instrument! All the best and I hope I'm lucky enough to do business with you again.
  18. I loved my super p and would love to try one of these but the recent price jumps!!! Stillifni had to consolidate down to one bass I’d be happy with a green one 😀

  21. Price drop - £135 includes UK postage Hi, I’m selling my Darkglass B3K. Well looked after and sounds great. I’m just not using it anymore. £160 price includes UK Postage. Here’s some info from Darkglass: An intuitive format that contains brutality and clarity at the same time is what the B3K delivers. A defined and powerful overdrive, with a simple layout, it sets no boundaries or rules to unleashing the desired tone. Blend Mixes the clean input signal with the overdriven signal. The clean signal remains at unity gain while the volume of the overdriven signal is set by the Level knob, allowing for fine control of the blend ratio. Tone Controls the high frequency content of the sound. A variable low pass filter from 3kHz (ccw) to 8kHz (cw). Level Sets the volume of the overdriven signal. Drive Sets the amount of saturation in the overdriven signal. Grunt When engaged provides a massive low end boost to really thicken your sound. Mid Boost Gives a subtle 6dB boost from 300 Hz to 1kHz to help you cut through a bit more. Output Connect from the ¼” Output jack to the input of your amplifier or another effects pedal. Input Connect your instrument or output from your pedal board to the ¼” mono jack. 9V DC Only use a regulated 9V DC adapter with a center-negative plug. Dimensions Width: 75 mm / 3″ Length: 111 mm/ 4¼″ Height: 43 mm / 1¾″ Weight: 250 g / 0.55 lb Warning The Microtubes B3K has a current draw of 20mA. Only use a regulated 9V DC adapter with a center-negative plug. Unregulated power supplies and/or higher voltages may result in suboptimal noise performance and even damage your unit, voiding the warranty. Thanks, Michael
  22. Price drop - £155 includes UK postage Hi, I’m selling my Aguilar Octamizer version 2. Well looked after and very little use. £185 price includes UK Postage. 25. For sale is this Sandberg Electra model available only via Thomann. I purchased this last year and have been the only owner since then. The neck is the usual amazing Sandberg item with a lovely satin finish so great to move around on. The bass weighs 8lbs 13oz, or exactly 4kgs in new money and balances really well. I should also point out that the neck pickup is hum-cancelling even though it looks like a single coil. Collection is preferred but I have materials to post if required. This will be at cost.
