  2. Welcome Chris.
  3. "Posts that ridicule or undermine the seller, or comment on much you think it's worth, or where it can be obtained elsewhere for less will be removed." Quick reference - ADVICE for sellers and buyers v2
  4. Offers invited, cheers.
  5. Original price was overly optimistic, so now up for sale at £150. Cheers.
  6. I don't think this is the likely cause. Post pre-amp signal is normally taken before the feeed goes to the power amp so won't be affected by the master volume. My TecAmp works this way. I think this must be a design feature of the Rumble 100.
  7. Cheers - I’ve been looking around and some have gone for a lot more, so hope the pricing is fair / good.
  8. Hello. I'm Chris. I live in a little town on the edge of the peak district. I've been a longtime musician, mostly interested in popular music from 1920-1950ish (all learned from 78rpm recordings! ). My main instument is the ukulele but I also play a bit of lap steel and banjo. I'm in various bands and do a bit of ukulele tuition. I am looking to pick up bass to broaden my horizons a bit - I have spent many years in the same tiny little niche and much as I love it want to mix things up. I am interested in other kinds of music. Currently I'm playing a loaned Jackson bass which doesn't suit me at all, so I will end up on the marhetplace soon.
  9. Thanks for the info
  10. Here we go again... this is a great bass, but the length of it exacerbates my nerve pain, and no matter how incredible the tone is I need something a bit smaller that sits in a different position, like a Music Man. These are Jazz Bass size, with one extra fret, so a touch longer. I think that the magic of this bass is in the pickup, and not the pre amp as some folk have written online. I'm lucky enough to have bought a used pickup, which is pretty amazing as these basses are rare, so I'll be putting it into what ever bass I replace this one with - it has a huge output and sculpted tone. A maximum of 550 of these were made, with 250-275 in silver and the same amount in pink. This is another reason I've been reluctant to let it go; and also why I'm not all desperate to trade it - this advert is just out of curiosity to see if there's anything out there. Made in USA for about 2-3 years, this one from 2019. Weighs approx 9.33lbs / 4.23kg It's in a 9.5/10 condition, with just a few tiny marks on the back. Quatersawn neck, alder body, compound radius fingerboard, Tim Shaw designed pickup, Aguilar OBP-1, BA style bridge.... It's a beast. Comes with the original case and all candy. Trade only - for the right EBMM Stingray or Stingray Special Cheers My feedback Sound Clip MODEL NAME: Flea Signature Active Jazz Bass®, Maple Fingerboard, Satin Shell Pink, Satin Inca Silver MODEL #: 0192612728 SERIES: Artist COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: US COLOUR: Shell Pink, Inca Silver BODY: Alder BODY FINISH: Satin Polyurethane BODY SHAPE: Jazz Bass® NECK MATERIAL: Quartersawn Maple NECK FINISH: Satin Urethane NECK SHAPE: "C" Shape SCALE LENGTH: 34" (864 mm) FINGERBOARD: Maple FINGERBOARD RADIUS: 12"-16" Compound Radius (304.8 mm to 406.4 mm) NUMBER OF FRETS: 22 FRETS SIZE: Medium Jumbo STRING NUT: Bone NUT WIDTH: 1.620" (41.15mm) POSITION INLAYS: Black Dot TRUSS RODS: Standard BRIDGE PICKUP: Fender® Custom Humbucking PREAMP: Aguilar OBP-1 18-volt CONTROLS: Master Volume, Treble, Bass PICKUP SWITCHING: None PICKUP CONFIGURATION: H BRIDGE: 4-Saddle HiMass HARDWARE FINISH: Nickel/Chrome TUNING MACHINES: Fender® Lightweight Vintage-Style Keys with Tapered Shafts PICKGUARD: None CONTROL KNOBS: Knurled Dome STRINGS: Fender® USA 7250M Nickel Plated Steel (Gauges .045 - .105) CASE/GIG BAG: Hardshell Case

  15. Pop A Cap In Yo' A$$ - Ben Watt
  16. I hope so as I've a new short scale coming shortly and this will help funding it.
  17. Transcription won't open Rob. Dave
  18. That my good Sir is a very good idea.
  19. We'll have to meet and compare preamps being as you're only 40 miles away. Would actually be very interesting to hear the Sadowsky onboard in a Fender.
  20. It certainly does, thanks for your observation 👍
  21. Funny you saying that. The preamp on mine has been swapped out for a Sadowsky one with the vtc. I brought it with the mod done, but I do have the original pre amp. I also own a 5 deluxe too.
  22. Fishman Platinum Stage - I use it for rehearsals when I don't have the time or energy to lug a rig. Simple but clean, EQ, low cut options, built in boost, can run on battery and clip on your belt if needed.
  23. I'm pleased to read that the hardware is made from high grade steel! Definitley not a fan of die-cast "zinc".
  24. Why RMS? As most AC signals are symmetrical around zero, their mean value is zero. As 'a minus times a minus is a plus' the process of squaring a negative value then finding its root makes it positive. So RMS effectively means 'flipping' the part of a waveform below the zero live and then averaging all the values. If this is reminiscent of calculus, that is because it is. Theoretical RMS values are easily calculated. True RMS values are more tricky to measure. Most meters assume a sine wave. True rms meters are more complex and costly, although for audio signals a good moving iron meter will do the job.
  25. The Orange Terror bass head has the same issue.
