After doing the tests with electric shocks down the arms, my doctor recommended cortisone injections as a first step, before going the 'whole hog' with operations. I also changed my mouse for a trackball (I was IT Manager...). All of this a couple of decades ago now; I still use a trackball, and have had no further carpal tunnel issues. If caught in time, and for less severe injury, injections can do the job. Hope this helps.

@Beedster, you're right, I shouldn't be so bothered. Amazon have provided their normal excellent customer service and replacements have already been shipped. I guess I was just amazed at someone's bare-faced audacity.

I returned mine in the end. Just couldn’t get it to sound the way I wanted it to. Even with minimal gain, minimal EQ, etc, the sound was a little too “hairy” for my taste. It was hard to get something that sounded reasonably clean, at volume - I wanted loud, with just a hint of hairiness, and I struggled to get it. But, of course, that’s an entirely subjective perspective - you may be looking for precisely that sort of sound.

Shit happens, send them back, get a replacement set, sorted 👍

I’m curious if they’ll have a mid control as the original didn’t. Also wonder if they’ll cover the two most popular circuit variations that were present in the heritage reissue.

Whe. You think about it QM asked about this pedal and they said it at least a 2yr development cycle but that’s not to say it was already well into development. Looking forward to hearing the demos of this one and just had a couple of pedals sell and a refund from Thomann!!

Hi Everyone, I don't often post on forums, but something just happened that has left me stunned. I like D'Addario flatwound strings, and ordered a set from Amazon - usually the best price around. D'Addario pack their strings in a sealed plastic bag inside a cardboard sleeve. The strings arrived and, without thinking, I just pulled the ripcord (the perforated opening strip) on the cardboard pack to reveal the plastic bag inside. Instantly, I saw that something wasn't right. The bag wasn't sealed, and in fact had clearly been opened with a pair of scissors. What's more, inside the bag was a random set of roundwound strings. I think they were still D'Addario - they had the colour-coded ball-ends, but the silk windings were the wrong colour (a very pale blue). They'd also been previously fitted as the silk was frayed and the ends were bent. Someone had ordered a set of roundwounds, opened the bag, replaced them with a set of used strings, and then returned them for a refund. On inspecting the cardboard sleeve, they had obviously sliced the pack open carefully so as not to disturb the opening strip and then stuck it back down with double-sided tape. I then innocently ordered a set and got the results of someone else's little crime. I am absolutely appalled that a fellow bass player would stoop so low. Shame on you, sir!

I have recently been diagnosed with carple tunnel in both hands and have been scheduled for the operation in about three to four months. In the meantime time it was suggested by my surgeon that I wear modified wrist braces at night which I have been doing. So far I have yet to see any relief in my symptoms and am wondering if anyone out there has tried a similar thing and if they can share their experience on whether or not they got any relief and if they did how long did it take to see an improvement. many thanks Ian
