  1. Past hour
  2. No time wasted at all. It's for the parts drawer as these are my favourite bridges.
  3. Yeah I'm speaking to Reverb right now to see what can be done. Just thought I'd share as it's bizarre!!
  4. ... maybe the seller would offer you a partial refund for the damage caused, or send it back as it's clearly received not as described in the listing.
  5. Most of the punters are scared of it 😆
  6. Ampeg SVT 212av cover. It’s in pretty decent shape, obviously gigged and has a few knicks but no massive tears. £30 posted in the U.K. if anyone wants?
  7. I’ve always been one that’s rarely used a stand on the gig , I usually bring a backup bass. So they lean against my amp , or the wall. Every once in a while one takes a tumble. Never gave that any thought when I was using Fenders or Danos , these days I tend to play Gretsches and Gibsons that can snap with a fall. … so I bought a folding stand that holds three instruments. I might be out. I did hold off until one popped up on kijiji for about half the price of a new one. It’s the folding metal tube style with rubber padding. The seller said it never left his house. Looks new. I do think it was long overdue.
  8. It's 'like-new' in the listing photos, this has happened during transit. But the box and whatnot shows no sign of ink. I'm wondering whether it was damaged before postage...
  9. That looks like a bad day on the production line coinciding with a bad day at QC Control 🤔
  10. Some kind of solvent or perfume can erase ink like this.
  11. Just received this in the post (NOT from a Basschat seller).... Any idea what would cause this kind of damage?!? The photos on the listing showed a 'like-new' pedal, and there's no smudging on the packaging at all. Not happy ☹️
  12. This bass is an even greater temptation now. Surely someone will snaffle it this week?
  13. Hi there No, it's not quite going to work for me - not because of measurements (which I've just taken and will be fine) but because I can't read and it's nickel finish, my stuff's all chrome so it won't match. @Steve Browning, over to you, and sorry for wasting you and @ash's time.
  14. Me likewise.
  15. Yeah of course. They were fitted ( well one of them was ) to a 73 Precision if that helps?
  16. Monteray Jack Your Body - Steve Silk Hurley
  17. Streets of Philadelphia - Bruce Springsteen
  18. Reassuringly heavy..
  19. Edam! I Wish I Was Your Lover - Sophie B Hawkins
  20. Today
  21. Thanks for sending these over! I think the set of 4 fender clovers would be my best bet - I’m looking to upgrade the tuners on a Squier Affinity Jazz. Can I measure tonight and let you know tomorrow, please? Cheers! Andy
  22. True. I've recounted this on here previously, but when I played the Hammersmith Odeon (now Apollo) many years ago, they still had the old horn speakers standing unused in the wings. They were massive. I could easily have crawled into the horn throats.
  23. that's what i thought also ...
  24. So, TI Flats on and I rather like it now, I think the action needs to come up a little with the low tension strings, or I might put a tiny bit of relief into the neck (or a bit of both). But it sounds and resonates a whole lot better than it did with rounds for sure, especially in the higher register where the rounds seemed a little lifeless. It still needs a little sorting if it's to be sold as a bass - pickguard screws, nut screw fixed, PUP height etc, and I think I might put on a 3-string retainer which I like on FLs - but it's starting to feel like a bass as opposed to a load of thrown-together parts 👍
