How was Your rehearsal last morning or night ?

... or 'come up one fret higher on each string', to get the fingering to correspond to the notes. No wonder it took you all so long. ... -
I hope you enjoy your Monza , I decided to get two at the time …. Just because…. Well y’know! .It’s nice to have that luxury even if you don’t always need it 😊.They do indeed sound sublime together but i regularly use just one. They are very capable units.

I admit when I saw the thread tittle my brain automatically filled in the blanks:

A dress is the way to go! Female bass players are the new swag, or whatever the young folks call that nowadays. But don't wear a skirt, people might get offended on behalf of Scottish people. Especially if you wear make up.

Epifani 410UL Bass Cab up for auction. Lovely cab in good condition, some ware to top of the carpet lining from stacking gear. Big deep tone, punchy, takes power well, lightweight and portable. 4x 10” speakers with horn,1000 watts @ 8om. Around 27kg only. I've used with a 4ohm 700watt amp running at roughly 450 watt when plugged into this cab and its been plenty loud enough for pubs, clubs and a couple of small festivals. £200 . Collection with test welcome I maybe able to deliver / meet halfway depending on where you are for fuel cost, message me for details

I have (hopefully) four more cheap dmx PAR lights (for a total of six) coming tomorrow with one of the cheap controllers. It may be weeks before I have time to experiment propery dueto work

Hi
I now own a 1980s Ibanez RS924 Roadster bass. It replaces one I sold over 40 years ago and have regretted ever since.
Unfortunately its fretless. I'm no player so learning fretless would be a challenge.
Does anyone know where I can get a replacement fretted neck? I tried Headstock, AllParts, and GuitarBuild. No joy.
Any thoughts at all would be most welcome.
Thanks .

Just one with a tweeter which was the BassChat lockdown 110 that @stevie designed. I did disconnect the tweeter for that one.

I think a better thread title would help loads 😉

Worth mentioning too is that I had that experience where I thought I was loud enough and they were telling me to turn up. I think that is a rite of passage with these cabs, isn't it?

I went to an audition in a rehearsal room today. Monaco, GK Legacy 800, Spector. All I had between songs was how good it sounded, what is it? never heard such clarity from a bass rig, never seen anything like it before. What brand is that? etc etc. I wasn't even using my pedal board, just the Comp4 on the GP5. I've always thought that Spector + GK is magic but add in a Monaco and there's the holy trinity right there. I don't know if I got the gig but the gear made people smile and I had a lot of fun.

Hey all, I get the pleasure of starting a feedback thread for Hammer_ I recently bought a Low Pass + High Pass filter pedal from Hammer_, all good as the comms were great, the delivery was quick and the pedal was as described. I would happily deal with again no issues. Peace.

That looked a great gig Mick. I’ve been a massive Graham Parker & Nick Lowe fan since the 70’s, seen GP & The Rumour many times. Caught them a few years ago in Leeds when they briefly got back together, I think with the original line up including Andrew Bodnar on bass. Always enjoyed Martin Belmont and Brinsley Schwarz on guitar duties too. If I’d known I would have tried to get to Putney for this one - to my shame I wasn’t aware that Bob Andrews had passed away in June, very sad. Many thanks for the set lists and pics Mick.

Long shirt sleeves turned up twice. A glimpse of forearm, drives the ladies wild. The peak of my sartorial elegance was a canary yellow suit with royal blue velvet collar and pocket flaps. . . . and flares you could get lost in. God I looked good!!

Always long for me. I couldn't tell you why I don't feel right in short sleeves. I will partially roll them up if it's very warm but otherwise not.

Blimey, can't believe I didn't leave feedback months ago, what a dick (me, not Shep lol) Bought Shep's Montreal Assembly PURPLL, the wildest noisemaker I ever did lay hands on which I'm still finding new tricks with after nearly three months. I didn't have the asking price when Shep listed the pedal, and he let me put a deposit down to hold it until payday - only he sent it straight out having only been paid 1/4 of it's value. Enormously grateful for the trust he afforded me in sending it early, and the 125-odd dials on the PURPLL kept me amused and delighted while my broke ass ate beans on toast for a fortnight. Seriously, have a look at the collector//emitter YouTube video on the PURPLL, it's gobsmacking. This must be how people feel when they get their spangly new HX Stomp or whatever, like the other pedals can all go away, there's just the pedal now. Thanks Shep!

Disappointing new bass day...I would appreciate some opinions.

That is absolutely shocking and should be rejected. It's damaged! There's absolutely no pride in that work at all. Did someone really look at that and say, "that's good to go, he'll be over the moon with that."? -

Start on the g string, any note, come down one fret lower on each string so you're back on the first note an octave down on the E string. The intervals are all major thirds so any of the notes can be the notional root. G, Eb, B, G perhaps surprisingly, resolves nicely to E. The song in question uses just three chords: Em, C, G. We certainly struggled for a long time we were trying to finish on a C chord (over which G bass sounded best) to create an unsettling effect but we couldn't get happy with it. But omitting the G letting the C hang and the bass does a run up then down that chord then E works. There's probably some deep musical theory at work but I'm b****** if I know what it is. -

Dan has the absolute best taste in dirts, I swear half my board is made up of pedals he's shifted on. Bought an EBS Fuzzmo off him this time around and it's an absolute banger of a fuzzbox, turned up super quickly in great packaging with the usual superb comms. Cheers chief!
