  2. Decided that playing only fivers would be a good idea for the originals band so took the HB MB5 to rehearsal tonight. I need more fiver practice (despite using it on Monday for a couple of songs). But it did put a grin on the lead guitarist's face (he's really a bass player). Also came up with a meme to sum up my evening... Yes, one song's arrangement got to the point where I bemoaned our lack of a flip chart or whiteboard.
  3. Gewa BS 25 Double Bass Bag 3/4 Looking to get rid of. Happy to give away for free. Collection only. I don't have much space to keep it around, so will be looking to throw away towards the end of Feb. Just in case someone wants a case. Used for 10+ years so general wear and tear (show in pictures, do message and ask for more if needed) Handle by bridge has slight rip through, can be an easy fix by sowing a patch/securing on if you are good with your hands. All other handles are fine. Wheels for easy transportation (wheels are in great condition, I don't really use them so has good amount of life left) Has shoulder straps (tucked away as I don't use them) so should still hold well. 25mm of padding, sufficient to keep protected - been protected enough travelling in and out of London. Faux leather parts have been peeled off with age. Dimentions: Total length: 186 Body Length: 112 Upper Body Width: 53 Lower Body Width: 67 Height inc. Bridge: 45
  4. The reason I like the Fender HiMass is that the saddles cannot wander laterally unlike a BBoT. Also I like how they look.
  5. What is the “gears” pedal? 🚲

  7. Bought new, kept it in pedalboard since forever. Actually I’m not even removing it until it sells don’t have the original box though (I moved between places since buying). It has 3M Dual Lock Velcro underneath, and naturally is in full working order. Wasn’t stomped much - I was usually engaging it through paired DMC Micro. And on rare occasions it was - it has the button cap! Highly recommended. I can post through Royal Mail Tracking24 for 5 quid or we can arrange local pickup in London

  8. I got an email via Ashdowns mailing list detailing some new amps & cabs so suspect they will be there promoting these.
  9. Returning to bass after a lengthy hiatus. Please be gentle. 😁

  10. I'll admit I chuckled at bangerfilms.

  12. Clearly very roughly... you can't stick in an extra 100% power and see it all dissipated as heat.
  13. Hi peeps F/S are a set of neck and bridge pickups for Rickenbacker style basses. These are the single coil with static impedance of 8.2k Ohms (neck) and 8.4k Ohms (bridge). Bought in anticipation of a project that never happened. As you can see they are unopened but I have added in the pics from the Retrovibe website for clarity and a link to the relevant pages. These are just shy of £120 inc. P&P from Retrovibe, so offered at a very reasonable £90 inc. P&P to UK mainland by Royal Mail Special Delivery. Neck: https://retrovibe.co.uk/product/retrovibe-rick-style-neck-pickup/ Bridge: https://retrovibe.co.uk/product/retrovibe-rick-style-treble-pickup-and-chrome-surround/ And some pics:
  14. For sale is this MM style 4-conductor pickup that came out of a DiMavery MM-501 bass. Not sure who makes them but I think it's a ceramic magnet. It sounded fine in the bass but I wanted to put an AlNiCo pickup in the bass. £20 posted to UK mainland. Here are the pics:
  15. Acclaimed germanium boost. Pink sparkly. Less than a month old and not left house. Going a different direction, so no trades thanks. Boxed with all gubbins but velcro added (which I can remove if you prefer). £90 posted
  16. The hot new Ampeg Fliptop emulating preamp DI. Just a few weeks old and not even left house. I know! Bottom line: I prefer the simplicity and familiarity of my Sansamp (so no trades). Same reason I sold my Bassrig Super Vintage last year. Doh! Plus I am trying to fund a potential new (old) bass purchase. Comes boxed etc. Velcro was briefly on back but removed. Save £49 (~11%) on UK retail price with post included. Take advantage of my never-ending ability to lose money on bass gear.
  17. In fact, like Ped's first picture!
  18. What the Nano should have been. I would love this instead of the full sized one, I have no use for the two rows of switches, 4 easily accessible scenes per preset would do me absolutely fine.
  19. I owned the BP1 Compact but didn't like the tone as much as its big brother. The compact has a very different tone with a significant bump in the lower mids.
  20. Bought a Terrorbass from Sarah. Effortless transaction, Sarah packaged the amp very well which ensured safe delivery. Good comms throughout and a pleasure to deal with. Thanks Sarah.
