    I watched GB News once out of curiosity. And then they got in to talking about how handsome and wonderful their mate Nigel is. They're politically unbiased you know? They said so many times and they wouldn't lie would they?

    that’s interesting, for me the aggressive Wavefolding is what I like about that pedal - and my gain pot is pretty good for most of its range, which schematic did you use? Will it do the wah wah thing with a volume pot that Justin medal Johnson showed in the video with pedals and effects? in terms of blend…. The prunes and custard does have a blend already, and a switch to inject extra low end into the signal … what have you built if there’s no blend??! SMD stuff - I cheated and got jlcpcb to do the assembly for me! So much simpler and cost effective. My laziness means ild like to try replacing the film caps with smd parts - but know it’s not quite so simple as that - and when I looked for some values the c0g part cost more than a box film cap would. I will check it out, I’ve been looking at the fdeck one and the broughton one for inspiration so far.

    Last week I released a YouTube video where I analysed Chas Chandler's walking line from an Animals Classic, and used this to show how to walk over one chord and make it sound exciting. I've now made a demo video of me playing the whole of Chas's bass line from 'Bury My Body.' Although the walking bass sections are fast, this is really fun to play and it's got an easy main riff.     Two lightly used EMG TBTW pickups, with all originally provided parts, cables, etc. and original packaging. In full working order. These contain both a jazz and a humbucking pickup, with a push-pull knob to switch between the two. The jazz is hum cancelling with a phantom coil when in use.     A nice example of the above, in very good condition. Headstock shows where I fitted a Hipshot triple retainer which I’ll put back on if wanted. Shown with black/tort/white plates, take your pick. Weight is 8.2lbs. No case or packaging so collect/meet up only.

    There was a TV program about her a while ago (probably marking the anniversary of JLP) and she came over really well, very grounded, but still a glint of rebellion. I can see how some won’t like her voice, but I don’t mind it (Rush fan here, so used to challenging vocal tone) and I have a copy of JLP. The lyrics to Ironic are still annoying, but it’s just a song. I saw someone had a banner or T shirt in the crowd that read, “It rained on my wedding day,” and couldn’t help thinking, so what? Rained on mine too, wasn’t ironic, it was September .

    @RichT I’m surprised you are getting hum from an active bass but perhaps you use it in passive mode? I’ve always found the active circuit does away with the hum but perhaps I have been lucky with my active basses. If you like the sound of the 4J 70s, I would be inclined to try copper tape shielding of the cavities, before lashing out on another set of pickups. I have always found this very effective with jazz type basses. It helps if you run some ground cables between the cavities that are not contiguous, with everything going to the output jack ground.

    My other half saw her a couple of years back and still talks about it being the best gig she's seen in 30-odd years, and she wasn't a huge fan beforehand. JLP was a big moment in 90's music culture, and to my mind on the basis of that one album she deserves the Legend status irrespective of anything she's done since. Also enjoyed her set last weekend and remain a little confused at some of the criticism, for example that she couldn't stand still........ 👍

    Not living around London anymore has saved me fortune in the last 5 years. Another lucky escape here, but it does make me sad.
