So much electrickery, so much craft. I do like someone who makes a tidy job of the bits that never get seen yet are the essence of the whole.

Yeah. Think that’s the fist time I’ve played there, used to be in a band with the owners - they have the castle too.

Wow, I did hundreds of gigs with a hxfx and never had an issue. Mind you, never had an issue with my CTM100 either!

Thanks both! I have uploadedthem in the suite called Joule MoniQ(Jule Monique) as well as the Sla-P1 preset. Both have 3 different scenes from clean to warm and one with a cab, I've linked it in the description as well. You might wanna tweak it should you ever try it as I dialled it based on my SP1 with flats on. But yeah, dialling a good workhorse tone on this one has been walk in the park for me, no complex path or anything. Only thing I don't like is the lag when changing to a different bank. Although it's negligible for me as I dont need to do that middle of the song.

Sax player in the 'Spoons doesn't drive (but bless him, he's learning) - I just give him a lift to rehearsals, I'm going anyway. He gets the biscuits in, it's all good.

Thanks! Anything beyond "intentional" is a bonus

Here’s what works for me….. I am currently learning a total of 4hours of material over a 4week period for dep gigs I have coming up. As @geoham says having playlist with songs on repeat really helps you get familiar. i start just having it playing just in background for commute etc then ‘actively listening’ then pick the ‘easy wins’ and play them whilst writing short notes on structure etc if needed. I then delve deeper into to the remaining more demanding pieces (sometimes not the ones you expect to trip you up!) i often don’t get chance to practice with the bands before first dep gig so will finally watch their Facebook/youtube videos and ask them to send live recordings if possible so I can fine tune the songs. It’s amazing how often bands who’ve been playing a track together frequently evolve a track from the original (sometimes without really realising). also - I’m sure I’m not the only one, but try to get comfortable playing at x1.25 speed if you can because somehow live renditions tend to be slightly faster than the original (unless your playing to a click) ^ hopefully that’s helpful to someone ^

Such a great photo! Lovely to see your lad looking so happy with his bass, long may it continue and I wish him much fun and success in the future x -

The opening tune of the 1994 Joe Henderson album 'Double Rainbow'. this is the complete Nico Assumpção bass part for the tune 'Felicidade'. Steady read but there are some fills that will trip you up due to the tempo. https://bilbosbassbites.co.uk/felicidade-joe-henderson/

The latter ... the AliKat looks just great but didn't sound anything like on a par with either of my 'true' DBs at the time, so I created patches (not the right word, but I can't remember how they describe them) for the AliKat based on each of the two good-sounding DBs. Obviously I could have done the former as well, but it made life simpler for @Silvia Bluejay on sound engineering duty if I left those basses alone and let her do the tweaking at the PA ... we put the whole band through the PA at every gig, -

Did you ever get this sorted? I notice mine is very similar and can't resolve it
