  7. It must be starting to work but I've a feeling there is more to this!
  8. Hey You - Thin Lizzy
  9. I really like the look of this and the reviews and comments I've read sound great.. I have an EA Wizzy 10 at the moment but its struggling to keep up with an 18 piece big band with a loud drummer even in a rehearsal situation.Just wondering what difference would I notice with the Crazy 88. I'm on DB with a Realist PUP and a TecAmp 500 via a Fishman Platinum Pre-amp. Cheers
  10. Nice comfy strap, helps with those weighty Basses you're thinking of selling becasuse they're too heavy. Well used, been sitting in storage for the last two thousand years. Adjustable length (at both ends) from approx 44in (112cm) to 57in (145cm) from hole to hole. Full working order, OK condition - there's some crud around the holes, nothing that counts as a biohazard and I'll throw it in for free. Thirty quid posted, knock a fiver off if you can collect from Bewdley DY12 I'm in Manchester and Bolton 27th - 28th September and could meet up there if that helps.
  11. I was really looking forward to heading up to Taunton again this year but my plans have been thwarted as Mrs OBBM has acquired tickets to see Chris McCausland at the Hall for Cornwall that afternoon. We don't many big names down here as it's a bit off the beaten track and, anyway, it would more than my life's worth to decline. I'll try and get there next year.
  12. Thank you.
  13. I will have to take you up on that invitation! A few snaps from the sidelines last night

  18. Today
  19. As Steve Jones from The Sex Pistols said, you don’t have to be best mates in a band any more than if in a football team, you still pass the ball to the best placed player even if you don’t get on with them.
  20. Thanks, yes the LFSys leaves any amp with nowhere to hide. That is indeed the price to pay for transparency. @BassAdder60 good to know - what made you move on from the Eich?
  21. He does make a lovely cable. A worthy successor to obbm.
  22. Bands with personal issues; The Kinks, The Beatles, The Stones, Oasis, Pink Floyd, Cream, etc etc . . . . You don't have to like everyone in the band, you just have to be able to make music with them. Success is good at papering over the cracks.
  23. Are there any people under 40 on this thread? I would love to hear their point of view.
