  2. In original box, with sticker and quick start guide £28 inc postage 48hr RoyalMail Pic to follow Plenty of threads about it for bass on here and on t'internet generally; useful stackable overdrive for guitar too; takes a PP3 9v battery if you want to use it stand alone or as part of portable battery powered rig rather than using with a power supply, usual 9v centre negative 2.1mm socket for use with power supply
  3. This! Make sure you enjoy it. So by all means do some exercises if you wish, but finish your practice by playing tunes you like.
  4. Folk that turn up to the local dive with 3k custom fenders and 8x10 cabs. Hate it. I absolutely love seeing top players or top bands sounding great using very much affordable gear. Seeing a bass playing a £300 yamaha bass that they;ve had for 20 years is something i love.
  5. Yes, I bought a MegaPara from them and all was good.
  6. I just did a little bit of jizz. I may have posted elsewhere, but there was one on the marketplace here a while back; I think it was advertised at £1,800. We were having some build work done and I simply couldn't pull the funds together at such short notice. I think about that bass every day. I've also recently been giving some consideration in getting a 12-string neck/bridge made for my Lull NRT5. That could be quite special.
  7. Jump For Joy - The Jacksons
  8. I’m giving it some serious thought!
  9. Decided to put up my awesome (and unfortunately no longer made) Spector LT5 in Violet Fade for sale. This has been my main touring bass for the last two years and has seen some action at Glastonbury, Green Man and many more festivals that I can't even remember! Despite being my main bass I have really looked after the bass and it's in excellent condition. No dings or dents just light surface scratches that every guitar gets from being played! The bass has a 3 piece maple neck with alder body wings and a very nice flamed maple top, which is almost holographic and almost impossible to photo! 😂 The bass has a very nice ebony fingerboard, MOP Spector crown inlays, Gotoh lightweight tuners, brass nut, Dunlop straplocks, Custom wound to Spector spec Bartolini pickups and Darkglass preamp, and thr finish is so good it's ridiculously reflective and shiny.. again making it difficult to take good photos! The bass plays very nicely and sounds phenomenal. The bass is 35" scale and the low B is the best I've experienced on a high end bass. Currently strung with Dunlop Super Bright Steels. Sale includes the Spector gig bag. Looking for £1800 due to excellent condition and I think collection is needed. I have the boxes it came in but I don't feel comfortable shipping it without a hardcase.

  10. I bought one last year. It very well built and did exactly what you would expect from a high / low pass filter. Highly recommended.
  11. Hi Woody I used it to beef up the harmonies for a trio with only me singing lead and fairly weak BV’s from the guitarist, worked well for that. That projects now long gone, so this is surplus to requirements, I haven’t replaced it with an alternative. Cheers Steve
  12. This is my MIK Spector Q4 pro, it’s in pretty much spotless condition, there are no marks I am aware of on this bass. I bought it from BassBros a while back and love it, however I have just purchased another (sadly, more expensive Spector ) so this has to go. It’s set up lovely, sounds just like a Spector should, it has the EMGHZ twin soap bar pickups and the EMG BTS circuit and this model has a non curved body. It’s a lovely bass. I do have packaging or collection or meet within 1hr drive of Milton Keynes. Any questions, just ask. Cheers Steve

  13. Hi Terry I’ve not had any issues in that respect, I know the original owner had an issue he didn’t like with the original preamp and so changed it to a Glockenlang which is still in it.
  14. Well, mine is beautiful. No gaps.
  15. Really glad that it’s not the bass after all, I was already stumped with what to replace it with while I was in Basil mode…
  16. Up for sale is this classic comp. In great working order with a few obligatory chips.

  17. Yep, classic Fawlty with a mix of classic Homer afterwards, a nice big doh!
  18. Yes I have owned extremes one at nearly 5kgs one at under 3.5. I regret getting rid of my red Sterling last year when I went in for surgery. Sold to buy a EBMM short scale I later moved on - to you perhaps?
  19. MXR M85 bass distortion. Great distortion pedal in good condition. Velcro on the bottom. £90 delivered. Any questions just ask 👍
  20. Anyone have experience of the rosewood Chinese necks with pearl block inlays? Just wondering how well done they are and whether the ones with dots might be a safer bet.
  21. There is some very boutique bonkers-ness going on in this thread now. Time for a reset?
  22. I’ve had several but realise I’m happier with long scale now that my fretting hand is healed.
  23. I've listened to some ABing with the original boss pedals, and it sounds good in comparison to the originals. If you absolutely need certain boss sounds, particularly if it certain sounds that you maybe use sparingly so that you can condense you pedal board, then its great. If you just need a generic phaser and tremolo for example, then im pretty sure a HX one or even one of the Zoom equivalents would do a similiar job.
  24. I'm looking for some advice on how to re-finish an area of a jazz neck I have. It came to me with a crack apparently professionally repaired. The crack has got a little worse, so I glued and clamped. After sanding back smooth the wood is a bit grey-pink when dry. When wet it's dark. Can it be stained to get closer to the original colour? I'll probably ending up replacing the neck but for now I just want to get it back together to test it out. Dry Wet
  25. Well you’re welcome to come and try
