  2. Hi, Is this collection only? Thanks, Mac
  3. It Wasn't Me - Shaggy
  4. Agreed, a false sense of security
  5. Genuine Ebmm scratchplate in black pearl from an early 2000s USA sterling 4h. good used condition
  6. Offers and part-ex considered!
  7. I have one Pbass currently with rounds, and it's great but sometimes I think about having a P with rounds and one with flats. May be overkill. I think I will just throw flats on and see how I like them again. I used them for so long and they recorded so well for Neo soul tunes, but sometimes would sound too thick and thuddy for other genres like french house style bass, or funk/disco..etc. I think it's because modern kicks from drum machines are so huge that they can carry the sub lows, and a good bass tone needs to sit on top of it. The flats can just get dull and sit in a weird space in the mix that works incredibly well with live instruments and open mixes, but not as much with electronic drums. May just be my preference though.
  8. Hey Everyone, Just joining here as I'm spending the majority of my time in Europe - originally coming from the US, but already living in Germany for almost 9 year. I've spent the last year getting back into playing more regularly, after some longer time off for life as it so often happens. Looking forward to connecting and being a part of the community and welcome any contacts even just for a casual chat. I'll add an overview of my current equipment, which is scattered between the US, Germany and Asia at the moment. so...yea! Feel free to connect or reach out anytime. Thanks!
  9. What other head did you get? I am looking at a small light setup for the studio and then something I can easily carry to a rehearsal. I play more funk/jazz/drum and bass so nothing super loud. Was thinking maybe the TE 2x8 paired with an Elf, and then later on I believe I could add the 1x10 to the mix, which would drop it to 4 ohms. May be wrong about that. Are there any other small setups like this that I should check out?
  10. Selling this bass as I originally picked it up as a backup to my main touring 4 string, a white MM with all the same mods. They’re both great basses but I don’t have as much need for a direct duplicate as I used to and it’s too good to be sat around not being played. I had it re sprayed with this smokey black burst which maintains the look of the natural grain. It’s picked up some nicks and scuffs which I’ve pictured. I love the way it looks and sad to let it go. The neck has a beautiful flame to it and it and the fretboard are unblemished. Fitted with a John East MM preamp, hipshot drop tuner and schaller style strap locks, otherwise all original and in great condition. Will ship in UK for £30 or meet in London area. Open to offers and happy to answer any questions. Thanks! James

  11. Today
  12. After a mare of a practice where the kemper wasn’t happy wanted to not rely on with the midi side of things so I’m switching from the kemper controller to the Morningstar mc6 and I’ll run the midi out to switch a few things on the kemper in time obviously it will work well with the ML10x under the hood the sl20 was a pog 2 but it’s poorly pattern trem after fuzz sounds cool
  13. Rehearsed it and it was fabulous, even with relatively inexpensive Squier PUPs and circuit it was everything a Precision should be. Think I've underpriced it 🤔
  14. Nice bass, excellent playing - great choice of song. I don't normally lust after basses, but I'm making an exception for this one!!!
  15. Not Guilty - George Harrison
  16. A properly sharpened chisel and a steady hand. No mallet. Just a keen eye and lots of small shaves with repeated test fittings until you have a fit that is not going to close up clearances at full operation temperature? ...or summat.
  17. Good Morning Judge - 10cc
  18. For anyone on the fence... I'm happy to put it back to stock with a set of flats if that's your jam!
  19. That’s what I meant, we knew we had to be careful. I think lightweight lures us into thinking it’s not so easily damaged 👍
  20. I’ve hit a bit of a bump in the road with this build, in the form of a clash of tolerances. The chassis was initially too tall to fit into the slot in the headshell. I have managed to reduce the height of the front and rear panels somewhat, but there appears to be a slight upward bow in the middle of the ‘shelf’ on which the front edge will sit, mainly to the rear. This piece of hardwood is glued into the ‘cheeks’ of the headshell at either end so I need some way of removing material from it in situ. I can’t get a plane to it, a rasp would be too coarse, and a metalwork file too slow. Maybe a spokeshave would do it, or a cabinet scraper, but I possess neither. Hmmm…
  21. Actually, the damage to the older gear tended to be more catastrophic if it falls the same way. Broken parts, bent sheet metal and such is not uncommon when an amp takes a fall, usually the lighter weight gear is easier to repair in that regard. It used to be common for a fall to break the transformer mounting screw(s), causing the transformer to cause collateral damage to whatever initially survived.
  22. I really want to keep this but have a few projects at home that need attention so looking to shed a few bits. Wicked pedal with knight fall, tarkin and T65 Octaver. All with individual clean blends, plus a master blend, and a master on/off switch. Effects stack in parallel for an absolute wall of awesomeness. Controls are really intuitive and easy to navigate. Velcro on underside, really wicked artwork. It's a wonderful pedal. I'll wrap box and post carefully. Any questions please shout. Selling cheaper than purchased, price includes postage second class. Can meet between Kettering, Bedford, Stevenage, Farnham areas of UK, or pass to my singer in north London... Drummer west London.... Blurb from cog website: Hellraiser" Custom Bass Multi-Effects Grand Tarkin Bass Fuzz, Knightfall Distortion and T-65 Octave all in parallel. Four level controls for mixing Dry signal, with only one ever active depending on which combination of effects are selected. This is very much an expansion on the concept of the T-65 Octave and parallel sub octave in general. Artwork is an adaptation of the Puzzle Box from the 1987 film Hellraiser, with oversized Moog-style knobs to finish things off.
