  2. Ok so this is a BC exclusive offer/ feeler... I really, really like this bass. I just already have another fretless so it's a bit silly having two. Thomann don't seem to have these available any longer, sadly. Bought in November 2022. This is a great, lightweight HB bass that I have done a few gigs with and it holds it's own. Before selling I can put the black pup cover back on and will return the knobs to the originals. But it's not quite a stock bass... I took the wiring loom out to drop it into a project bass, this now has the famed Kiogon loom. In making that change I bought a new Hosco bell plate (£18.99) which I will leave on the bass too. I also fitted a Gotoh bridge (£38.55) because I wanted to donate the HB original to a project. No other mods, though the fretboard has had a good treatment of Monty's wax as I have only ever used round wounds on this bass. I'd prefer local pickup but can ship it.
  3. Bought new from GAK a couple of years ago, un gigged and little use, strung with d'addario chrome flats and fitted with East J retro circuit . Tried out in the Brighton shop against some higher end jazz basses and it was a lot better than some twice the price or more. Fender details Tap into that classic Jazz Bass sound Equipped with two single coil Fender Jazz bass pickups, this guitar offers all of the clarity and punch that you would want out of a bass and more. Melt into the mix with grumbling lows, crisp mids and open highs that produce a truly unique tone that has been reimagined through decades of Fender innovation – and accessed by dozens of legendary bass guitarists. The innovative wiring and magnets within these pickups provide for an expressive voice that is extremely well-defined and responds to the dynamics of your playing, no matter what your style is. Industry standard craftmanship This Squier Jazz Bass’ body is crafted from poplar, delivering a high frequency response as well as an overall light tonal contribution with sparkling highs. Poplar is a soft tonewood, therefore it offers a mellowed sound with warm lows to juxtapose the pick ups and create a perfect harmonic balance. The guitar itself is also lightweight thanks to the selection of poplar wood, providing a comfortable experience that can carry you all the way through the night With a maple constructed neck, you’ll be guaranteed a bright sound with plenty of twang, as well as excellent levels of resonance and sustain. Paired with a laurel fingerboard which will offer a smooth playability and high-quality physical feel beneath your fingertips in addition to a glorious amount of tonal warmth and depth. What’s more, the locking bridge works with the tuning pegs to help you stay in tune for longer, no matter how intense things get A definitive bass look So often described as the first choice for many bassists across the globe, this retro inspired aesthetic will have you standing out in any crowd. The space-age metallic blue body and matching headstock blends seamlessly with the exposed wood of the neck, as well as the cream pickguard, to achieve a timeless visual appearance. 4. Had this since December-ish I think. Really, really great bass but I'm just overloaded at the moment. Description below... This is listed elsewhere but as ever I prefer a BC deal. This is sort of a feeler as I don't really want to sell it but I'm just being sensible at the moment... Left handed Japan made Fender jazz bass, US 75 reissue. This means it has an alder body, not basswood, and US made pickups and hardware, three bolt neck fitting with micro tilt, binding and blocks on the neck. I'd never seen a lefty this colour before. It plays absolutely beautifully. Small crack in the back of the neck has been professionally repaired (see photo). No case or strap included. If you want this shipped in a hard case contact me, I can sell a hard case too.

  7. £110 posted for the daddy Octave.
  8. And that's how it sounded after the refretting in 2023, put some headphones, it's way better: AUD-20250818-WA0005.mp3
  9. Reduced to £800 Just taking up space now!
  10. And here is how it sounded when it was fretless: The funny thing is that I asked Jean-Paul, the bassist here if he had a vintage Jazz Bass for sale, and he pointed me this refinished one that used to be his and he gave me all these informations.

  12. Yeah I've been looking into non-EU basses and it all looks nice, but adding import and VAT usually doesn't make the actual price lower than e.g. a German one. Well, I already have 4 vintage basses ('66, '70, '71 and '73) so I'm pretty well set. I'll have to wait for the right one. Ah thanks! I've been checking Bassic and Zikinf already, of course
  13. Got a few items for sale after making some recent upgrades and having a clear out TD25 module £375 KD9 kick pad £60 KD8 kick pad £35 KD85 kick pad - very little wear to the head £120 PD80 pad £35 FD8 Hi-hat pedal with new actuator £40 Cable harness to fit TD9, TD11, TD15, TD17 or TD25 - works fine although some of the labels are worn off £30 I’m based in Wakefield, West Yorks but I’m happy to box up and get a postage cost for any of these. I normally use Evri so it’s not too pricey. I’ve also got a spare MDS9 frame for £45 but probably trickier to post that.
  14. The second one, the natural, belonged to a friend of mine, who imported it from the USA in 2009 and only sold it in 2023 to the actual seller... It was already refinished in white when he received it, but it wasn't a great job when looking close, so a local luthier (Olivier Roux from Saint-Nazaire) turned it into a natural finish, but everything else is fully original, except the frets that were dead in 2018, so another luthier (Cyril Guerin) turned it into fretless and it was refretted just before its sale in 2023 by the same person, and it even comes with its original case. Maybe worth asking @BassAgent. If French is a problem, just ask, and I'll help you.
  15. Today
  16. Thanks Pete. Used to have one of these in 3/4 size, but I too gave it away. It would fit quite easily in my vehicle but (a) it was a right bugger to manoevre through the front door, the front hall, and the 90-degree turn into the sitting room, and (b) once emptied it took up as much room as when it was full. Not sure whether they actually do these in 7/8 size anyway.
  17. Nice bass @BCH what is it ? Dave
  18. If you've got room in the van, one of those semi-rigid cases with wheels might be an option? Someone had one FOC on the forum a couple of months ago, but it wouldn't fit into my car.
  19. This remains a lovely piece of kit but it's deffo intended for a genuine 3/4 DB, not a 7/8 DB like my Alcoa. Overall length is 2cm short (bit of a stretch but probably manageable), but body length is 7cm short for my bass. My guess is that I could just about squeeze the Alcoa into this gigbag but it would be pulled out of shape with inevitable potentially disadvantageous consequences. I.E. I'd end up breaking something. Not keen to spend £835 to find out.
  20. Astley was a cunning Master of Disguise - real name, Lola. 🤣
  21. Didn't know that Rick Astley was a young lady flashing some pretty flesh.
  22. It's a mystery to me, why this is still here, at that price. The sooner it's gone, the sooner I can stop laying awake thinking about it.
