  2. Too Much Ain't Enough - Tom Petty
  3. i have a local convenience store which is an evri parcel point - have used it many times as ev ri and previously as hermes and not had a single problem
  4. This thread is why I like Basschat. It's sensible, informative, slightly amusing and helpful, apart from the fact I can't see the picture but clearly other people can 😊 Looking forware to the next update.
  5. I Just Can't Get Enough - Depeche Mode
  6. Yes I will be selling the whole board. Listings to follow!
  7. As they have round cores I would say there's a bit mellower than the D'Ads. Watch this video, from 1:56 to 2:42 and then again from 6:49 to 7:35, which might help.
  8. I pulled this as the new price has dropped below £500 now. However, on reflection I think £600 for the amp in mint condition, plus the bluetooth adapter, footswitch and carry bag is still a good deal, so it's back up again.
  9. Think this looks fab, unfortunately out of my range right now so have a bump on me
  10. I played a 5 string Thumb for 20 years, just got another one, luckily I love the sound they make. I get on fairly well with MM SR5's and I had Alan at ACG build me a 17mm spaced Krell fretless which is a beauty. I'd love a Pedulla Pentabuzz or a Mark 3 Wal, but the spacing just doesn't work.
  11. It's surprising because every other implementation of an "SVT in a box" model models the breakup e.g. SansAmp VTBass, Origin Effects Super Vintage, Ampeg SGT-DI, QC Ampeg Model, Helix Ampeg Model etc. That's one of the key advantages of a model over the real thing, I can get the very aurally pleasing breakup without needing the monumental volume. But even the SVT Classic has a gain control that creates the SVT drive sound (albeit, quite loudly): I genuinely don't understand what's so surprising about our bewilderment that the amp models don't have a gain control, or apparently model breakup in any way?
  12. Working for the Yankee Dollar - Skids
  13. Ours is ruthlessly quick and we always delivers our stuff. My point is, most major couriers have a brand identity. Evri is anonymous and exploits gig-economy workers. They've become large and powerful partly through this anonymity, and through paying workers peanuts and setting them hellish delivery schedules. Any time I've seen people voice a genuine grievance with them over missing parcels, damaged goods etc on Facebook it met with comments about how (usually a different driver) is good. Therefore Evri is good as this is their only point of reference.
  14. That’s what I was going for with the Aotearoa Intermodulator- homage to the unavailable original, and all black, because, well the link is my kiwi uncle introducing rugby to me… and also it looked cool.
  15. Ours too, but then again, we’re obviously halfwits. 😂
  16. I'm probably going to do that. Just need to work out an interesting route for a trip on the motorbike.
  17. Today
  18. Not sure yet but probably a Euro 5 LX
  19. Longer I think. 5 is 35" the 4 multi is 36" - 34". The 5 multi is 37 - 34
  20. 9 to 5 - Dolly Parton
  21. What Do You Do For Money, Honey - AC/DC
  22. Alembic Series II had the widest HF bandwidth, but unless the Q has set really high, there was no 'sizzle', which I take to mean excessive brightness / hardness at the top, ie a negative quality.
  23. Wood Beez - Scritti Politti
  24. To be fair, our guy is pretty good. Not so sure about the rest of them
  25. Been using the XR18 for a few gigs now. What a difference it has made! Set up is so much easier and the other guys love the control they have over their monitor mix. Keyboard player has ditched his onstage mixer and runs his keys into the XR and gets a stereo mix using two of the aux outs. He adds in some lead vocal and uses his backline wedges as monitors. A game changing piece of kit.
