Lozz196 started following Budget transparrent class D amp heads ~300W?
-
When I was doing similar I used Ashdown amps, both ABMs and RMs, as both have an EQ bypass switch, hence my reasons for using them. The RM amps are Class D, small, light & powerful. They did do a 300 watt version, but used you can get the 500s for around £300ish. Reliability-wise they`re good, and being based in the UK any issues they`ll sort quickly.

I have owned one of these in the past. Don't be put off by the shape - I found mine surprisingly ergonomic - it balances well and the top edge of the body formed what I can only describe as a "shelf" for my forearm to rest on. Really quite pleasant playing experience, and sounded good too. I felt enriched and enlightened by the experience of owning and playing one. And yes, you feel like a bloomin' rock god when you're playing it - you will throw shapes and pull faces. GLWTS!

GAK only had overheads of one retail store rather than many up and down the country.

This is the one. The blurb. The bass: It’s the bedrock of any performance, demanding nothing short of tonal excellence. Enter ReVolt Bass, a forward-thinking all-analog 3-channel Amp Sim primed to serve as the beating-heart of your rig. The latest-iteration of Two notes’ critically- acclaimed Amp Sim solutions has been engineered with a singular mission: to empower players with the ultimate in foundation tone. Forget any preconceptions of a run-of-the-mill amp-in-a-box, preamp or DI: ReVolt Bass stands-apart. It’s inspired by a trio of iconic tones; It’s fuelled by 200V and genuine tube power; It’s born to assimilate into a myriad of usage scenarios; it gives you edge when you need it, thanks to an integrated Drive Channel Dry/Wet Blend

Just spotted a Schecter P5 on Rich Tone’s website, these have a 35in scale so that’s definitely one to add to the list.

Selling this bass as I originally picked it up as a backup to my main touring 4 string, a white MM with all the same mods. They’re both great basses but I don’t have as much need for a direct duplicate as I used to and it’s too good to be sat around not being played. I had it re sprayed with this smokey black burst which maintains the look of the natural grain. It’s picked up some nicks and scuffs which I’ve pictured. I love the way it looks and sad to let it go. The neck has a beautiful flame to it and it and the fretboard are unblemished. Fitted with a John East MM preamp, hipshot drop tuner and schaller style strap locks, otherwise all original and in great condition. Will ship in UK for £30 or meet in London area. Open to offers and happy to answer any questions. Thanks! James

On the original SuperP a ‘new circuit was employed. It had mid point detent which was wide open at the mid point. Turning the tone control back worked like a tone roll off- standard. Rolling it forward introduced a ‘mid scoop’ but it wasn’t really that practical.
