Sparky Mark started following Snakeskin Fernandes P bass - any ideas what on earth this is ?!

If the top end is reduced too much, you could remove an area of leather under the bridge and insert a metal block/shim to ensure direct bridge to body contact. (As long as the neck joint is tight and stable, that isn't really any different to the plastic under-plate used on plenty of F shapes basses).

Tone Hammer 210 combo.... Looks nice. 🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶

RE: just marketing and such, I don't know about the Daves etc, but they mention that this is designed for small clubs, churches and pit bands etc, where there's not much space. In churches/pit bands at least the amp never really gets moved, it's more of an install. I reckon this fits the bill. It's small enough to sneak on some stage noise, the rear connections open up a bunch of options for in-ear monitoring, and having some simple impulse responses available on the DI outputs is actually pretty handy. The new Ashdown series looks ace but it just has one plain DI out - it's a different thing. It's a shame you can't connect another cab to the Aguilar, but that'd kind of defeat the point anyway. Maybe it's a bit pricey but my experience with my Tone Hammer head is that it's a 'buy well, buy once' thing. Re: Eco-mode, maybe it's similar to some modern active PA speakers. We use a big HK Audio system with an eco-mode. If it doesn't receive any audio signal for a while, it powers itself down, and automatically turns itself back on as soon as it gets a signal again. This could be pretty handy for the target venues. -
Would totally own that mug, you goit.

I sold eight basses to finance this one, now in the making. It will be a once-in-a-lifetime build for me by my luthier of choice: Christian Olsson at Unicorn Bass. Here is a close-up of the headstock just to show the incredibly grained 3000 years old redwood face. The body of the bass will have the same top and backside, so it will be just gorgeous. It will be an unlined fretless five string with one pickup in wooden housing. No controls , pots or switches, just plain wood. Except for the bridge and tuning machines. Long wait, but within reach... ❤️ https://www.unicornbass.se/

Can't see a link to a Sire Terry, just Cort GB Custom, Yamaha 735, and a Ibanez BTB -

I was honestly of the belief that it didn't go into production! Apologies. -
For sale, a TE Elf C110 combo in excellent condition. Reduced to £340. This really is immaculate, as is its cover. All you'd excect from the Elf range and surprisingly powerful and loud (if needed). Functioning perfectly and supplied with original TE documentation. I've ended-up with two (silly stereo experiment) so this - almost unused one - is no longer needed. I don't have the original box but can locate a carton for shipping if any prospective buyer wishes to organise a courier. No trades thanks. Collection would be preferable (just to the East of Manchester), though as above, courier arrangements are possible. Any questions, please just ask. Basic specs are: POWER: 130 watts @ 8 ohms, 200 watts @4 ohms (with an additional 8 ohm cabinet) FEATURES: Gain, level indicator, bass (center @ 80Hz), middle (center @ 400Hz), treble (center @ 4.2kHz), power indicator, volume, speaker/headphone selector switch, ground lift switch) SPEAKERS: 1x10” Neo 8-ohm driver DIMENSIONS: 324mm (H) x 305mm (W) x 355mm (D) CONNECTIONS: Input, headphone/line out, speaker output, balanced DI XLR (direct out) WEIGHT: 18.5 lbs

It looks very nice. The 5 string Space is definitely a strong contender (I've never owned a headless before and always fancied one) -

Sounds good in the marketing video (but it would). Love the ‘50s sci-fi lab aesthetic of the DB750, but the ‘70s kitchen styling much less so. I’m assuming class D but haven’t seen confirmation in specs. Agi seems to have moved-on a long way -
Up for sale is this passive Sterling by Music Man Pete Wentz signature StingRay bass in a very eye catching Fiesta Red finish. I had a change of heart and withdrew my 40th anniversary Squier Jazz ad recently, so have put this up for sale as although I love it, it's the bass getting used least with my band and I've recently bought another bass. This is a very cool, passive StingRay in fantastic condition (small scratch on the back of the headstock pictured in the only sign of wear), with one of my favourite necks I've ever had on any bass. Roasted maple, stays straight throughout all seasons and feels great in the hand for those who like a chunkier bass neck. This also comes fitted with Dunlop Straploks and crucially; high quality Schaller BM tuners to replace the stock tuners which were to be blunt, utter garbage. As a passive bass with a single humbucker with just volume and tone controls it's less versatile than a regular StingRay, but it sounds great and it's a snarling rock beast that you can also get a lot of mellower tones out of. You will get most tonal variety from how and where in relation to the pickup you play it, rather than the tone control to bring out the dynamics of the fat sounding pickup. Also comes with a good quality Ritter gig bag; has a broken handle (as pictured) but all other straps and handles are in good working order. I would much prefer collection in person or half-way meet if you're reasonably close to Brighton in the South East. However, I do have a sturdy cardboard box to send this in so could look into sending at an additional cost to the buyer, and at their own risk (as it's not in a hard case so can't be insured by courier services). Please see my feedback for assurance of past honest dealings on the forum: Any questions, send me a message. Thanks.

Been away for about 15 years...Who did i miss?

The closest Fender got to perfection was in 2017 when the JMJ Mustang bass was launched. If they could now innovate with an identical bass, but with a 'closet classic' level of roadworn, their work would be done and no further innovation will ever be required. -

Strictly not last night, but Thursday night (yes, a school night). Our acoustic trio were invited back to the Speakeasy at the Harbour View in Sunderland, Tyne & Wear. This was our third appearance, and probably our best, even if I say so myself. The Speakeasy is a mixture of an open mic night and a gig. For the first hour, it’s an open mic, although due to its popularity, performers have to book their slots weeks in advance. The second half is a 45 minute set from a featured artist or band. This week, that was us. Bear in mind that the Harbour View pub is perhaps unsurprisingly sited overlooking Sunderland port. As a result its on an exposed hill top, and on Thursday evening a brisk south easterly was whipping the rain into a face stinging frenzy and making the 6c feel a whole lot colder, and yet the pub was still full of enthusiastic music lovers. Gear-wise, I was using my Boosey & Hawkes Excelsior laminate double bass equipped with a Realist copperhead pickup straight into the EBS Stanley Clarke acoustic preamp. From there, straight into the desk (a Behringer X-Air 12), and out to a pair of RCF HD 10’s and a small DB monitor that was almost at my feet, which sounded great on the videos I have seen 😎

Laney R500H 500w Bass Amp I'll put some current pics up tomorrow but here's the thread from when I bought it off here. I've only used it live a couple of times. Moving it on cos I've just bought an EBS 350 off here and I don't need 3 amps. No trades ta I have the original box and courier will be around £10. There was one on eBay from Japan for £400+ so obviously it's rare, desirable and probably lawsuit era 😂 New pics added Original post

I bought this lovely self build Jazz from @briansbrew recently. It has a genuine Fender Jazz neck and 70s style Fender tuners. The neck has a lovely played in feel. The tuners are great, they really hold. A lot of my other basses I've owned I've always wondered how it could be flat and sharp at the same time when tuning...cheap tuners. The body, an alder jazz body from North West Guitars. I love 3 tone burst with tort. Seymour Duncan pickups, a push pull switch on the neck pickup volume to go between series and parallel. And a great Schaller bridge. It's a lot of bass. It's only the 2nd bass I've bought where when I've played it I've thought, yes this is my bass. I took it to practice on Wednesday. I find the neck really easy to play, and I just love the tone in combination with my amp and cab. So yes, result!
