attackbass started following Using a Capo on a 5-String
-
Whatever works for you but I'm slightly confused as to why you would need to use a capo with a 5 string bass for songs in Eb or D unless I've read the post incorrectly. Also can you get capos wide enough for a 5 string neck? Not sure if it would have sufficient pressure for the low B.

What are your irrational prejudices? I have some bonkers ones...

As new still sealed in packs, 3 sets available Β£10.50 per set including postage. I have been trying various brands of strings on a number of basses, whilst these are very nice I'm going to Dunlop's for my fretted Warwick. To my ears the Eden's seem similar to Rotosounds, maybe not quite as 'zingy' initially.

This amazing emulation of the acoustic control corporation 360 preamplifier with variamp and built in fuzz is up for grabs. Hand made by the renowned JC Maillet and commissioned and imported by myself at great cost. I have used the 360+ for studio recordings, gigs, rehearsals and at home, it has never dissapointed. The preamp sounds fantastic and the fuzz section is the best I have used. I have owned this pedal for a good few years from new, as can be seen it's in pristine condition. Specially sourced UK power supply also included. Will happily run from other sources with the right leads (I used it with a trex chameleon). Fully detailed printed instruction manual also included. Only available as I have more preamplifiers than I can use. Try out/collection always welcome, or UK insured postage for Β£15.00

Evening chums! I have a TS100 soldering iron bought a while back. Changing the tip this evening and somehow dropped the little countersunk screw that holds the tip onto the body. I have searched for ages trying to find it - the workshop is now absolutely spotless! - but I still can't find the blessed screw. Anyone happen to know what thread the screw is, or know where I could get a replacement? It's less than M3.5, but I have nothing smaller I can try.

Is this the end for the boutique bass?
dave_bass5 replied to bassplayer76's topic in General Discussion
I always equate boutique bass to people that have to have that bass because cheaper basses dont offer everything they 'need', but they also play much cheaper basses most of the time because they dont want to take the expensive one out, even though these offer so much less as far as playability goes π -
Small "Hifi" amp head recommendations sought!
Hellzero replied to andyhaines's topic in Amps and Cabs
Don't worry, I'm maybe too sharp for a 60 years old guy and I've always had an excellent memory despite a very bad car crash that crippled me in 2009.
