They're doing the Last Flight with an orchestra. Interestingly, I had a brief exchange with Willgoose a few months back. I was gigging with Eddie Roxy (Department S) at the time. We were doing a show in London and I had PSB on in the car; Eddie asked who we were listening to and he casually said he'd been involved with Willgoose 'when he first started out'. I popped a message over to Willgoose and got a lengthy reply, debt of gratitude etc. It transpired that Eddie knows Willgoose's father (he played Sunday League football with him!) and offered a lot of sage advice when he started gigging and recording.

Fender Precision Bass 1978 Natural Finish Lightweight with Gig Bag Fantastic Fender Precision bass from the late 70’s the only non-original part is the pickup which is a noughties US Fender wired to a series parallel switch. The pots, wiring, and hardware all original. You can see there’s currently a D tuner on it but if it sells I’ll return it to stock as I have the original tuner. The bass is factory natural with nicely grained wood. It’s light at around 3.7kgs - amazing for a bass of this era and the neck is slim with a shallow profile. There are the usual ID marks and sticker under the scratchplate with serial number matching the headstock. Sadly no case but I have a light modern Fender gigbag for it or you can have a heavier duty generic one of you prefer that is a bit scruffy but sound. The bass balances really well and plays easily. There is lacquer wear at the upper bout and the finish has crazed over time. The finish is rubbed to near bare wood in places but it is honest wear and not particularly bothersome. You can feel the crazing when you rest your forearm on the edge, it didn’t irritate me when playing live. Great opportunity to buy a lightweight 70’s classic Fender. Pickup preferred but I can post if absolutely necessary. UK only.

QSC CP12 Active PA Speaker 1000 Watts One of two - priced individually or for a small discount if sold as a pair. This speaker is as new and has not been used since purchase. It comes with additional QSC waterproof cover for outdoor use. Very powerful speakers however I’m downsizing and selling my larger portable PA gear. Street price is £579 cheapest I can find so this is a good saving. The covers cost an extra £67. The user manual is included. I have two of these for sale. I can knock off £40 if you buy the pair. Pickup definitely preferred but talk to me if this is impossible. UK only. Postage would be at buyer’s cost and I’d need to source packaging as the boxes have been recycled. These speakers get glowing reviews in Sound on Sound magazine - https://www.soundonsound.com/reviews/qsc-cp-series I own a pair of QSC CP8s which are perfectly fine for keyboard monitoring and rehearsal PA so these aren’t needed now for personal use. Flipping basses for profit – fair game or not cool?
TimR replied to Allaboutthebass's topic in General Discussion
I guess some of us are more altruistic than others. I have freinds who would only sell things for market value, there are no friends in business. I have other friends who would give away things. Its really only a problem to me if I 'gave' something to someone beliveing they would look after it and care for it, only for them to sell it next day. I lent one friend something I'd used twice it was effectively brand new and still in the pristine box. When he (eventually after a lot of nagging) returned it, it was scratched and scuffed and the box was lost. I won't be lending him anything ever again. -

There's nothing wrong with people being kind, either. It's just if your selling something it's your responsibility to set a price you will be satisfied with, because after that you don't really have any right to a say. That what the buyer gets for their money, the right to say what happens next. Just to clarify, I have never bought a bass or anything else from Basschat, although I have sold one bass and some assorted sundries over the years. I'm not trying to defend my own actions. It's just that it would never occur to me to take umbridge if anything I had sold was subsequently flipped. If the new owner doubles his money, great. By the same token, if he sells the item on for half what he paid me that's also not my concern, so it works both ways. -

Unfortunately I'm sad to say some have been veterans with considerable history and that's why my expectation of dealing with them was higher than it should have been given the way things turned out. -
Los kareokeos a dude who pretended to play a tiny keyboard to schmaltzy crap in the lounge bar. Do people really think that this is what holidays are all about… At least Los Kareokoes is making a buck on top of singing his way for tips while driving the Uber to Albufeira …..and back. ah well , as Mr Green once sang edit to add sat on the room balcony now , and am regaled by the sound of the wind and rain (slightly) drowning the cheesy rock being belted out from the tower block ballroom next door. algarve R us

Immaculate Yamaha MG10XU mixer with mounting bracket for attaching to mic stand (see photo). Barely used and in good working order. Original box. No trades thanks. Price includes shipping to locations within the UK. I took the photos myself and I am blind, so my apologies if they look like they were taken by a drunk person.

Essentially new EHX 360 Nano Looper with power supply and original box. I bought this for a specific project earlier this year. That project is now finished so I have no need for this pedal. It’s had less than 10 hours use in a studio environment. No trades thanks. Price includes shipping to locations within the UK. I took the photos myself and I am blind, so my apologies if they look like they were taken by a drunk person.

My Spector came from the BC classifieds from a nice gentleman who sold it to me fir what he paid and well under market value. I could have sold it on straight away for a very nice profit but I couldn't do that. It wouldn't be right. Its my favourite bass so im keeping hold of it but when the time comes, someone else on BC will get a bargain. -
A great flanger pedal that takes up very little space on the pedal board. in excellent condition and good working order. I no longer have the original box but do have a box that it fits in well for postage (see pics). Surplus to requirements and I need the money so it’s got to go. No trades thanks. Price includes shipping to locations within the UK. I took the photos myself and I am blind, so my apologies if they look like they were taken by a drunk person.

An old classic here, Trace Elliot Duel SMX compressor with 2 18V power supplies (one is brand new and has never been used as I bought it as a backup). Works great as a duel band compressor as you would expect. Obviously it’s quite old now so does show some signs of ware and tare. All working but it is quite noisy. It probably needs a good service but that’s not a skill set I have. I haven’t used it for quite some time but have powered it up and used it for a couple of hours over the weekend to make sure it works before listing. No trades thanks. Price includes shipping to locations within the UK. I took the photos myself and I am blind, so my apologies if they look like they were taken by a drunk person.
