  1. Past hour
  2. I'd be interested in the body and hardware if you ever had the need to sell the neck separately. I'd imagine it'll all go in one though, so GLWTS 🙂
  3. That said, I think that Green Day would have managed it with some white powder as it's a great pain killer, but maybe it's not a good idea... 😉🤔🤪
  4. I have the MarkBass LM IV and chose it over the 58R because it has a metal case not plastic There is a Laney Digbeth 500H for sale on here too As Lozz suggest perhaps the new Peavey is a good choice I had the Orange LBT and it’s a great amp and warm sounding I play rock / pop / indie / punk
  5. This, absolutely!
  6. If fan noise is an issue, then buy a GR Bass One 800 as the there's a defeat function (studio mode) and the fan will only work if needed, which means after 2 or 3 hours... Price tag is higher, but it's a terrific amp: https://www.bassdirect.co.uk/product/grbass-one-800/ The lower wattage versions don't have this capability.
  7. Cold Fire - Rush
  8. Thank you - I can't find a Bossa bass anywhere in the UK. I have another Bossa guitar that was Brian Monroney's (Tom Jones etc) and it's my #1 💛
  9. Totally agree with @Lozz196, but if you decide to go the MarkBass road, take the 58R series as everything, but the Speakon out and Power in, is on the front, which is very handy if not clever, and they are made in Italy again. I had this with a dedicated 58R cabinet and the tone was a pure delight: https://www.bassdirect.co.uk/product/markbass-little-mark-58r/ And the fan is quiet as I just saw your other post...
  10. That is a bit tight for 3 guitarists plus drums in an alcove i always find makes them loud and sometimes a bit booming. I'm assuming one of the guitarists is the singer. ? Dave
  11. Overwater classic deluxe You dont see these much at all. This was owned by me a few years ago.
  12. Unless you fancy a change of sound given you already had a Peavey I’d go for the Mkii 600, you’ll know pretty much what you’re going to get and what to work with.
  13. I've now got to summon the courage to do the waterslide decal on the body. I was always crap at these when I made airfix models as a kid. Used to get my older brother to do them most of the time. That said... I've not tried to apply one since I was about 10 years old, so perhaps I've gotten better at it. I took some pictures and reproduced the original logo in Affinity Designer. I got them printed up as decals (along with the logo I used for my own designs) by a company called Rothko & Frost. I had intended to just exactly reproduce the logo that was on there originally, but – as an editor – I can't countenance such wonky typesetting. I'll also try to put it on straighter than the original decal. I've noticed from looking at pictures of these basses online that the decals are noticeably wonky on about half of them.
  14. My Peavey MiniMax head no longer works. I need a new amp, from an online retailer, to get it by midweek. Unfortunately, 2nd hand isn't an option. I've got a Fender Rumble 210 cab, just for reference. Just thought I'd ask for opinions on the following. Good, bad, core sound sort of thing. These are the heads that seem available at within my budget. TC Electronic BQ500 Peavey MiniMax Mkii 600 Laney Digibeth 500H Orange Little Bass Thing 500 Markbass Little Mark IV. Thank you in advance.
  15. Today
  16. Thank god it didn't last 😂
  17. Recently bought the Hercules cradle as well, not used it "in anger" yet, but it seems pretty decent.
  18. I wonder if the right thing is to tag @Sheldon Dingwall
  19. I used mine to record all our early originals and it had a great sound on the recordings. I wasn't experienced enough to realise how good it actually was. And when those first two photos were taken, I was till a guitarist who played a bit of bass.
  20. Is classicbasslines your website? If not, please delete your post.
  21. Thanks for responding @Lozz196 I really appreciate it. I think that's a trick of the light. So far as I can see the block is just a solid lump on that plane. Another pic attached. The only things I can see that might be adjustable seem to be on the top of the block. The whole thing seems very weird to me. I guess it's held in place by the strings, but that seems quite insecure.
  22. Ice Cold Ice - Husker Du
  23. The very best sounding 5 strings - Low B specifically- I have ever played (Didn't own any of them) were a Warwick thumb 5, a stingray 5 and a Status Barracuda (probably the best sounding out of all of them). All of them weighed an absolute tonne. Whether that was related to the quality of their low end I can't say, but I could never own an instrument as heavy as those
  24. Appears similar to Sandberg, it looks like there’s a screw on the back of the blocks just underneath the strings, if it works the same as Sandberg tightening this extends two locker bars either side of the block, so to adjust loosen this, then physically tap the block in the direction required.
  25. Hello! For sale, my Gallien Krueger CX 410 and CX115 Bass Cabinets, in excellent condition. Bought new in 2018 for a short rehearsal period and a UK/European tour, during which they travelled in a larger road case, and have been stored properly since then. You'll know it'll make a full range, powerful, lightweight and ultra reliable bass rig paired with the right amp. Complete with Roqsolid padded covers and GK castors. Please don't hesitate to ask for more photos or information - let me know! I'd consider offers, a split, and be happy to drive a reasonable distance to meet as I'm a little bit out of the way. .
  26. You're determined to see the positive side of the accidental Sei.
