  1. Past hour
  2. I was looking at this, luckily I now have the 5 string version. Yes, a great bass with a lovely feel to it.
  3. Always preferred the Subs version of "She's Not There" to the Zombies slightly wet original... And Dead Kennedys' "Vive Las Vegas" is considerably better than Elvis's!
  4. Yep, that's why it's an unhelpful design. You could do something daft like a DI box in the effects loop followed by a clean boost that would act as your master volume, but (a) it could introduce noise, and (b) you shouldn't have to go to these lengths
  5. I live near Villa Park, it’s an approx 20min walk to the venue. I’ll be avoiding the area at all costs. I was lucky enough to get to attend the Final “The End “ Show in 2017. That was it as far as I was concerned
  6. This is why I`ve in the past preferred to DI from a Sansamp/equivalent preamp, that way I can adjust volume or eq on the amp to suit the stage without affecting the FOH mix.
  7. Tech21 VTDI, everything from clean to filth in an SVT style. Really flexible EQ.
  8. Shoot You In The Back - Motorhead
  9. I still use the Sansamp BDDI v2 and love it. Clean punching sound and a great DI. I don't use the drive on it either.
  10. It sounds like you might be better served with a preamp pedal of some sort anyway. If you're going direct and don't need any stage volume... It'll be less gear to take to gigs.
  11. Yes but then you lose the preamp and tone stack colour.
  12. Well that's made the decision for me
  13. I had one of these. The amount of space it took up was completely disproportionate to the sound it made! Fantastic little things. GLWTS
  14. The fun thing about these amps is that the FX loop also comes after the master volume 🙃 Really the only option is to stick a DI box between the bass and the amp
  15. This always confused me too. I have a Mesa Carbine M3 combo - and the DI is taken post master volume, and the DI level (for which there's a pot) is affected by master volume level too. Really poor design on an otherwise superb combo because it limits what you can do with it in a sudio recording setting. Surely just a pre/post switch for the DI would have solved this cheaply and easily?
  16. Love Gun - Rick James
  17. Eton Rifles - The Jam
  18. according to the rumble 100 circuit diagram which is on line, the main volume is actually before the EQ, so yes, the volume affects the outputs. The circuit doesn't seem to have a pre/post DI switch so I assume it is before the change noted by Dad above. It does seem odd, on my amps (BAM200, TC450, ABM600, CTM100, etc) or even the ME90B effects, the DI wasn't effected by the volume*, which seems the right way. * note, the DI on the ME90B isn't affected by the volume knob, which changes the overal volume of the jack output, but it is affected by the volume pedal, which again seems right as that is an effect.
  19. A bit more AJ, this is the complete bass performance of the title tune 'One More Once' from the 1994 Michel Camilo album of the same name. https://bilbosbassbites.co.uk/one-more-once-michel-camilo/
  20. A very interesting and apparently impressive design. However, it strikes me that this thread should either be in the ‘affiliates’ section, or a ‘sponsored’ thread. There’s some fairly clear advertising/marketing going on in the posts. Could I respectfully and constructively request that the originator of the thread contacts the site moderators to discuss?
  21. I'm looking for 2x10 solutions at the mo...
  22. Best wishes to you Lee. Time's the great healer and at 51, you've got lots of dreams still to chase.
  23. This isn't just a bass, it's a work of art. I don't think Enrico builds instruments anymore. So, you're unlikely to find another one of these anytime soon. Good luck with the sale.
