  2. Last two things available: Aion Lab Series L4 £95 posted Fairfield Shallow Water clone in 125b £160 posted some wee pricedrops there -wasn't really intending to drop the price on the Shallow Water clone as I like it a lot - I dunno if I updated the decription but it's not got a nice DC jack on it at the right size (!) and I rebaised the bucket brigade chip so it sounds lovely.
  3. @joetruscott hi, if you could demo the bass back pup, neck pup, both pups and anything that shows the action on the neck that would be great.

  5. Master built Warwick Vampyre 5 and Peavey amps? That is really quite esoteric taste in gear you have, if I might say so. Nothing wrong with Warwick basses (or Peavey amps) but a Vampyre? Are you sure?
  6. That's one option, but you don't need 50 meters. You should be able able to find the same polyester batting in a useful size at fabric shops, it's used for pillows and furniture upholstery.
  7. Had a rethink on pricing whilst at working. £720!
  8. I am the god of hell- Fire - Crazy world of Arthur Brown
  9. 1: Rickenbacker 4001 or 3 ( I'm not fussy) but in Natural with a maple board 2: A maple boarded fender PP 3: A decent splitter bus and driver 4: A Marshall 810 - either MBC or VBC 5: Sennheiser G4 IEM rig
  10. Final price drop as below this price I may as well keep it as I'm sure I'll enjoy the tones this beast makes in years to come. £1,500.
  11. Had a great experience dealing with Mathias, was patient and informative, and packed the bass I bought really well. Excellent seller!
  12. God Was Never On Your Side - Motorhead
  13. Ernie Ball Cobalt Slinky Flatwounds 45 65 80 100 Well used, cut for a StingRay They've been on my Bass for a year or two so they're just getting going. Fifty quid and upwards new, so... thirty quid posted? Knock a fiver off if you collect from Bewdley DY12
  14. This really is an unusual, but stunning looking bass! At first glance, it seems like something you've seen before, probably many times... But a closer look at the pictures and a read of the spec, tells a very different story. I'm curious as to the string spacing at the bridge, and also what kind of music you mean in this sentence : ".. Simply because I no longer play the type of music this lends itself to and it deserves to be played." Thanks and GLWTS! 👍😊
  15. More strings that I didn't like. They're great on my American Jazz, but I don't like them on my Vintera. Cut for Fender spacing and used for about an hour. £35 posted
  16. No... I left it in the kitchen for ages thinking that would prompt me. Instead it just annoyed my wife 😂 I've got serious GAS for a new bass, so it would be good to get this finished. Just haven't had the time!
  17. … I’ve done a bit of digging and it’s the rubberised coating that was used for grip/aesthetics and is a fairly common thing apparently on multiple products, not just Moog end cheeks and mod wheels. Hopefully it’s just the coating that is unstable and not the base plastic. I’ll report back on how it cleans up when I get around to doing it 👍🏻
  18. It was nice to play. He says that he just takes that along to sessions now rather than 4 basses. It's got a block of three pickups which can be switched into various combinations.
  19. I visited the o2 for the first time at the weekend to watch fitness panto “gladiators live” with the family. We sat opposite where the stage would be. Honestly, it felt too big. If I saw a band, I’d have to get floor tickets and get within 50 yards of the stage, otherwise I just wouldn’t bother.

  21. ^^^^^ Just a follow-up to my above 'Spitfire Audio' post. I downloaded the library, and it came in at just under 6 gigs. It does sound very nice, but beware...The articulations are very limited and only consist of two variations on the instruments - Just Longs and shorts. The rest of the articulations are in demo mode with just one playable note. I have quite a substantial amount of SA libraries, so of course, I'm not part of the target audience. But sound wise, like I said, it does sound nice and authentic and may well be of use to many.
  22. Thanks mate. Just to stop people misusing it for nefarious reasons. Probably not really necessary on an old Musicmaster.
