    Hi Chris, they moved the business to larger premises over Christmas and the New Year which seems to have had a knock on effect, but they should be replying to emails. The website says they haven't got a phone number for the new premises yet. I'd try email a few more times.

    Select a picture to open it. Tap on it twice. That opens up to more than the full screen, enabling you to use the cursor to closely inspect the pictures. They can actually be zoomed to pretty much life size. Perhaps LowEnd Lobster's demo bass has not had the rosewood nourished. The board on mine is excellent rosewood that is fully nourished. I maintain my basses in top condition as anybody who has bought from me will know.

    I ordered mine on the 25th November and I’m still waiting I’ve tried emailing them and trying to find a phone number but no luck bit worried barefaced are in trouble and Ive lost money i do not live locally so I can’t just pop over to see if they are in business

    Near-mint (see pix), very robust Höfner violin bass case - with key! Used once only, it has never left the house (I traded the HCT I bought it for, and the upgrade - a 500/1 Artist - came with its own case). I've pictured it with the Artist in to show how snugly everything fits. There are a couple of very minor scuffs, which I've photographed, but they're very difficult to see. The current model (this one is no longer made) costs £138 on Thomann. There's one of these on Reverb at the moment for £144. I actually paid Thomann £83 for this one, so I think this is a very fair price all round. For collection from Nottingham or I can post at buyer's cost (I probably have a suitable box, and Parcelforce would be about £10 - £15, I reckon).

    I had one with a 36" scale - an absolute monster that came with its own flightcase (virtually unliftable). It might be worth trying a Hiscox Large Bass Case (you could check the dimensions at least)

    To keep the string in tune at both ends, it is wise to re-string the bass as shown here: https://scottsbasslessons.com/blog/how-to-string-a-bass-guitar The only thing I think in a different way is in step 6. I push the string to the bottom of the peg hole, and then bend it. Scott makes only a small bend to the string.

    I could write lots about this, but I did once wonder if I had too much gear when I was contemplating buying another bass amp. But I came to the realisation that as I don't tend to spend my money on anything else, I'm not in debt, and I enjoy it, then buy the amp 😁

    I've tried a few Octave pedal's as its a must have being a fretless bassist and for me, I found the Boss OC5 was the best for tracking and response. I will however add that I use mine more as a way to thicken my tone rather than playing it in the style of Pino or Tony Levin. In fact, that's got me thinking, I should really try and do that style. I've heard good things about the MXR Vintage Octave but I've not tried one. I did try their Bass Octave Deluxe but I didn't like it.
