  1. Past hour
  2. And a couple of other faves I forgot…
  3. The '72 vintage wasn't available on Spotify so went with the '78.
  4. Not heard Twisted Sister since school days! I picked "Silver Bells" from this album, as there were no other versions of that song on the playlist.
  5. Here’s some Spotify links to my suggestions…
  6. Fender precision bass guitar. Made in Mexico. The previous owner has aged it to make it look like a 1963 p bass. (With blow torch) it looks very cool. I have just had new standard pick ups installed and a set up with new flat wound strings. Plays lovely now. Collection from Brighton
  7. I've done my first test using the ECM8000 reference mic and my SM58. The problem is the advice stresses not changing the gain, but the sensitivity of the ECM8000 (condensor running of 48V phantom power) is over 15dB greater than the SM58 which means that just isn't feasible, I had to turn the gain up. Does this look right/plausible/feasible?
  8. That comes up on a Spotify search, but greyed out so the track isn't available. It is on YT though, and it is both weird and strange. But unlike the R2D2 song you won't need therapy afterwardsn
  9. Oh my ears!!!!!! Mercifully it's not on Spotify so doesn't make the playlist.
  10. Opps, so I did! Memory like a sive, me... 🤦😆🤣 Still loving it, btw... 👍
  11. I have an Andertons double box I can stick it in as long as you arrange the courier and any insurance cover. If you want to do this I will knock off a tenner to help with shipping.
  12. To be honest I love ABM and MAG heads but their cabs leave a lot to be desired. I have had several different types, ABM, RM, MAG over the years and for me a Rumble 500 blows them out the water.
  13. For my money I reckon that this is the single best thing that Tech 21 have ever made. Have a bump on me.
  14. Kate Bush's version isn't on Spotify, I've included an alternate instrumental
  15. Jesse Welles, on Monday. Outstanding. Bass player was well old school. Fender Coronado and a fender valve and what looked like. 2 x 15. Well worth the trip.
  16. What`s the old saying, if you can`t say anything nice then say bugger all. This defo applies to my band
  17. Thanks. I was wondering if there was a bit of chorus or similar in there. I'll have a fiddle around and see what I can do. It's such a lovely, plummy sound, kind of ballooning out and back again.
  18. There are only 2 rehearsal spaces that supply rigs in my area. One, old Peavey combos that have been ragged to bits. The amps seem OK but the drivers have been pushed so hard I'd say the cones are badly torn. The second place has a Markbass rig. A 210 cab with a 250w head. It's OK but struggles a little to cut through in the room, especially against the awful drum kit there.
  19. We send out new gig announcements via messenger to confirm availability. I noticed yesterday our drummer is no longer included. Daryl
  20. I've never owned a 15, and the only 15 I played through once was in a Line 6 combo... it sounded awful, which was probably the ridiculous amp in it. Currently, I have a 212, which sounds completely different to a 212 I had several years ago. I also have a 210 which I'd say is more coloured than the 212 in that it sounds to have less top end than the 212. In my limited experience the only constant I've arrived at is you have to try it before you'll know what it sounds like.
  21. Today
  22. Maybe pickup height isn't set correctly? Faulty input or lead could be a possibility too. From what I've heard these basses should sound decent stock.
  23. I'm working on getting my nerve up to contact him. Daryl
  24. This.was mine I was payed well under the asking price for it feel so upset and sad I hope the seller gets double for for it I was taken advantage of my situation but it’s all about making money these days I lived and cared for this bass just hope the person who eventually buys it enjoys it as much as I did 😢😢😢😢😢
  25. It's a 1994 with a Telecaster body style with an active pre-amp. I don't know much about the L2000 but I think they're pretty much the same bass. Daryl
