  1. Past hour
  2. La Bella Deep Talkin’ Bass flats 760FS-TB. These are the ones specifically for through-body stringing. Cut for a Precision bass. Very light use at home; just trying them out really. Didn’t really suit the bass so off we go again. £30 including UK postage. Feedback thread here:
  3. Hi Here I am selling a Sterling by Musicman SB-2 in black. Stock these comes with the horrible big plate bridge and a plain white scratchplate.. Here I have changed out the plate for one in brushed aluminium which looks great against the black gloss (unmarked) body. I have also swapped out the bridge for the samller footprint version. Its effectively new and unmarked. The pickup is spicy but as its a passive bass really gives a great barky ray-like output without the colour of the entry level pre amp of the Sub 4. I am pricing this to sell. So have y'self an SB-2 for less than the cost of a new one fully set up and ready to gig with some tasty little tweaks. Pick up from Medway towns area, meet and swap within reason, or i have a box to ship (at buyers cost)
  4. Here's the relevant (two...) pages from the User Manual (has to be from my Google Drive, as every bloomin' file seems to be too big these days for BC ..!)... X32 Compact Midi Implementation info ... Hope it helps.
  5. Just for the records, what time does the festivities/executions start? 10am? Until about 4pm? Give or take.
  6. I won’t mention that, don’t want to do a Trump and normalise deviant behaviour
  7. "It doesn't matter..." I gave it two minutes. I didn't like the song, at all, nor the bass in it (well, you did ask...). Shades of Cap't Beefheart, but he and his cohorts did it better, in my view. Devoid of interest, for me, but... Do your 'thing'. Peace. Disclaimer : I'm a drummer, soooooo...
  8. That's worrying. It's a while since I last bought a new piece of MIDI enabled kit, but in the early days including a MIDI implementation chart was IIRC a mandatory requirement for any device sporting MIDI sockets and using the MIDI logo on its products, packaging and documentation. I've just had a look on the MIDI association's website and including an implementation chart is one of the requirements for both the original MIDI and MIDI2 specifications. The problem for the OP is that neither of the functions they want to access are part of the standard MIDI specifications, and therefore access to the MIDI implementation chart is almost essential to be able to work out if MIDI control of those parameters is possible and if so what messages to use. In the absence of proper documentation there are two things that the OP can try: 1. Connect the MIDI out of the X32 to a MIDI interface and computer with a MIDI sniffer application running. Then activate the relevant controls on the X32 and see what MIDI messages (if any) are detected by the sniffer application. If MIDI message are being produced then use a DAW to send them back to the X32 and see if they have the desired effect. However just because activating the function from the X32 doesn't produce any outgoing MIDI messages doesn't automatically mean that it can't receive and use them. 2. Since the functions required are not part of the standard MIDI CC set, accessing them may require mapping an unassigned CC number to the function. If this is the case there will be a way of doing this from the X32 interface or an editing program. Start by looking at any screens that allow access to MIDI functions on the X32. HTH.
  9. The previous customer was a slapper too
  10. I don’t think telling a customer to cancel an alarm meets the requirements of our local guidance: https://www.southwales-fire.gov.uk/app/uploads/2024/09/Guidance-on-Safe-Investigation-of-Fire-Alarm-Signals-1.pdf At the very least a pair of competent people appointed by the building owner/manager should check the premises. For Pirate I'd assume they should have security on 24hr callout.
  11. A bit down so it isn't as loud as the main vocals. It can't be a figure, because it depends on the singer.
  12. It should indeed, but the doc is a bit... err... 'sparce', lacking in detail and clarity. The link I posted explains a bit better how to approach the subject.
  13. We would sound check every gig and the singer ( female ) used IEM and every time first song in people said the vocals were too quiet ! Many factors play a part, crowd noise, adrenaline, and IEM when only the singer uses them !
  14. Blue four string, three slanted pups, 47,000 knobs, he says it’s “good for slap”. 🤦‍♂️… so it’s clear we haven’t got him fully house-trained yet 🤷‍♂️
  15. Dropped to £80 each.
  16. What’s the error message you get? Have you been able to use it previously? Two things I can think of: 1. when it asks for username, it might actually be email address it needs (can’t remember off the top of my head); 2. if you’ve entered your password incorrectly, I think it doesn’t let you easily overwrite it. You need to go into the config or settings text file in the app data folder and delete the file or enter the correct password there: Windows: "c:lUserslusernamelAppDatalLocall" Mac: "/Users/Username/Library/Application Support/".
  17. On that Trace Elliot note - I recently bought one off eBay for peanuts, TE GP7SM 150. My bid was £70, starting price was £56, it went for £66..🤦‍♂️😁 The only annoying thing is i had to go & get it = 2 hours drive each way..🙄🤦‍♂️ The pre-shape option on it - could not believe how low it pushes the amp and it still sounds clean.. That is head only though, i’ve got Ampeg 15 inch cab hooked to it that i bought for £90 few months ago..
  18. Forgive me for posting video.. johnlayneandtheaeonspromiseband_tribeofman (3).mp3 Hear ya go..how ya like the bass in this song.. Tribe of man.. no rumble ..attached sound file...
  19. Today
  20. I did the same and lasted about 8 seconds, never heard of Rumble before
  21. Who is hateful? Hated for being real is not me being hateful..but i understand... It's not a place for commentary... So what ya think of the bass line johnlayneandtheaeonspromiseband_tribeofman (3).mp3 Ttribe of man..hard rockish
  22. I kick myself for not getitng one just after the brexit change when Thomman were kicking them out at €1350, even with taxes that would have been pretty good, but didn't know what getting stuff imported was like at the time. By the time they had that sorted themselves they were gone and never came back. Problem with rics are they are just too expensive for what they are worth for me - at under 1.5k I am happy to go for one, at over that they have to be special, and they aren't really special enough.
  23. Well if you believe those who disagree are hate speechers...does everyone in your life agree..how sad..
  24. Awesome! I remember that bass and its previous owner, setup like a dream
  25. And it is often called hate when it is hate. No, people who disagree are just people with different points of view, and that is ok. Thats why we have a forum, loads of dissagreement, but ultimately we try to keep the hate out, there is enough out there already.
  26. I presume to work out where the dead hookers are coming from?
  27. Just received some Alpine Musicsafe pro earplugs, lots of hits on here for them saying they are good. I've tried them on the silver ~22db inserts and they definitly work. They do cut the highs more than teh lows, which is how they are designed. I'll have to see how they work out at a gig/rehearsal, but should be a good solution for controlling harsh snare/cymbal noise.
