Here we have a used but not abused Rockboard Tres 3.0 pedalboard setup that, with the addition of the power supply and patchbay, means you are set up and ready to go. No need for mains power to the board, you just charge the power supply before the gig and you can enjoy hum-free pedals all night! I've never had any issues with this setup. The battery can do a two set gig with no issue. Currently, I have left the USB cable connecting the power supply to the patchbay, so you can plug an external USB into it and charge without having to remove it. Lots of other wiring options are possible though. The carry bag is fully functional and in good overall condition, athough it has some light scuffing on the outside as you'd expect. New, all of this would have been £200, so I think £125 posted is fair. Thanks for looking EDIT: Forgot to add proof of ownership to the pictures, but hopefully pages and pages of feedback (see link in signature) will confirm I am a legit seller!

Musicmaster Bass Bridge replacement options
basshead56 replied to basshead56's topic in Repairs and Technical
I arrived home to a package 😁 Beautifully presented and arrived lightning fast once shipped from Greece, though lead tine was a month. The steel pick made from an offcut used to make it is a very cool touch Very happy with how it looks and feels, just need to strip the bass down and get her started... -

I made a simple angled stand for my Yamaha HS7 monitor using a 3d printer and some aluminium 2040 extrusion. The sides and angle of the stand are printed and the width is from the aluminium extrusion. It looks very neat and is very light. I know that it can take 100kg. Don't ask me how I know 😊 If it needed any more support I'd add a middle section, but it's basically the same as my 3d printed pedalboards. I put 3M rubber strip on the bottom and a lip at the back and it's rock solid. Not sure what the size limit is as I don't have any monster cabs or amps. If you want to put something on the top, I made a smaller but reverse angle stand that sits on the speaker that is smaller and takes a mixer. The lip then hooks over the front of the speaker. I'll add pictures when I get back if anybody is interested. Rob

Thankfully, I've been divorced 40yrs now, so my living room now resembles a recording studio. 🙄

Russ started following Drum plugin/software for "jamming"?
-
I love writing bass parts to fit interesting drum/percussion patterns, but I'm not the greatest when it comes to drum programming, so it'd be nice to have something that can just throw drum grooves at me and that I can react to. So I was wondering, is there such a thing as a drum plugin or other piece of software that can generate patterns and grooves that change over time, that you can jam along to, and that your DAW can record so you can pick bits out of later and assemble into songs? Any suggestions welcome!

Does anyone have any insight into Guy Pratt’s bass tone in the first of the three barn jams with David Gilmour? Obviously he’s using a Precision bass, but I’m wondering whether he’s gone for rounds (with tone rolled off) or flats? It has a lot of depth and fatness without sounding at all brittle. Barn Jams - David Gilmour

You'd spend more time plugging and unplugging the USB lead than replacing a battery once a year.

I do agree Tom, but without the original packaging, I'd be concerned about sending this out into courier world. I also much prefer potential buyers to confirm they are happy with the item in person before they purchase. However, if a buyer would be prepared to arrange collection by their preferred courier I could source appropriate packaging.

I sometimes ask about things, sometimes not. As the most recent one was a swap for a bass that's been sitting in a wardrobe for about 15 years, I could make a good case for it. However, I operate on the general principle that it is easier to ask for forgiveness than permission.

How was Your rehearsal last morning or night ?
tauzero replied to nilorius's topic in General Discussion
First rehearsal for a while - singer has been quite busy rehearsing for his part as the monster in Young Frankenstein (at the Core Theatre in Solihull from 22nd to 26th July). Successful run throughs of three songs that we're putting in the set (we've played two of them live once apiece but wanted a further brush up) and then we had a go at Hotel California, which our singer was a bit reluctant to do but after we'd run through it he was pleased with it. Seeing as we hadn't planned to do it and were doing it unpracticed, it was rather good. Guitarist had had the bridge replaced on his Variax JTV-59 (the Les Paul-ish one) and only just got it back, and we're not sure if this was related but he broke the top E twice. Feeling pretty ready for the next gigs, successive nights in Polesworth and Gloucester on 11th and 12th July.
