soulstar89 started following NUX Mighty Plug (headphone amp)
-
Hey peeps. I purchased the mighty plug pro this month to replace my NUX MLD preamp pedal for home practice. I’m finding that on a full charge it only lasts at most one hour. I connect my Bose noise cancelling headphones and sometimes play along to YouTube tracks. I think this has amazing potential but everytime I get into a vibe or I’ve made up a chord progression it dies. Very dejecting. 😭 What are people getting out of a full charge?

"that" guitarist 🙂 !!

Probably. It’s an angry swine.

I've got a multimeter, so I am not gonna buy anything. I would like to know the recommended voltage to change the batteries and if it is ok to measure the voltage with a trs Jack. Greets
-
The R was used on sone Japanese models and some also had complicated switching. I would lean 95% towards it being USA but there would be a little bit of doubt.

Today I re-drew the main board layout and stuck it onto the full-size chassis plan. I need to do a layout for the bias board before I get too far along with this.

Good left hand technique from a teacher or ploughing through Simandl, (possibly the world's most boring book) is useful..helps you find the notes, stay in tune and play what you're thinking not what your hand will let you. But you can't learn everything from classical or (even) jazz musicians. Nb: using "the evil 3rd finger" is de rigeur above the neck joint, as is using your thumb. Rabath is all about whether you can move your hand without moving your thumb ( Simandl says don't), it doesn't involve using your ring finger below the neck joint... does it? Most people's hands are just too small to reach a semi tone with every finger. Rabath is useful for some things and worth adopting at times at least .eg the bass line of boogie stop shuffle which is easy on a 34" scale electric but a workout on a 46" scale dB ( unless you have massive hands)! Pivots make it easy again. Sorry thread drift.

Yes. I take whatever is right for the gig, regardless of what I paid for it.

My best bass and most valuable in £`s gets gigged and as it`s a Roadworn 60th aniv Jazz it doesn`t matter if it gets dinged. I keep my eye on it at gigs as it so easy for someone to lift it when your back is turned say during a break. On a similar line, I was talking to a guy in my local the other week who was playing a 6 grand Les Paul custom shop 59 re issue. After doing a soundcheck the 3 guys in the band disappeared out the back for a smoke leaving the Les Paul and a nice Ric just sitting near a door. Not something I would do especially where I come from

There are where we get the timber for short-scale necks, presumably?

You are Dr Who and I claim my £5. ...

If you really want to curse them, substitute “Les Paul” for “bass” above. Do it properly

Or are large enough to need a seat of their own. I suspect OP may be thinking “bonsai” as a) he has limited luggage space b) can only carry so much luggage c) needs to consider whether they’d shed needles or soil over his in-luggage crème egg stash
