  2. There’s not really any point in further comments until you post a clear picture of the setup. It will be helpful to see a clear, top-down, image so that we can trace the cabling etc. Si
  3. Probably one everybody knows but for tapping out tuner ferrules/bushings a suitable sized socket from a socket set is ideal.
  4. Spirit of Vintage now £44 (+ £10 postage) at Thomann
  5. Chocolate Girl - Deacon Blue
  6. Ah awesome, that’ll be where I picked that up from then - I’ve never really looked into one before, but have been on the lookout for a Streamer Jazzman 5 which is the same pickup config on a different body shape, will definitely give this some consideration
  7. I've ordered the Artec now, ETA 12th Aug, will let you know how I get on. 👍
  8. The Taranis 4 is BEAD, the 5 is a normal 5 string tuning.
  9. China Girl - Bowie
  10. Is this setup normal tuning? I’d always had in my head that these are tuned down and run F#-B rather than B-G but I might be wrong or you may have set yours up differently?
  11. That's why I took it to my technician, who I've a good and long relationship with - she recommended changing the pickups and I'm happy to go with that I'll look into the DP123BK you mentioned though - as well as being locally available they're a chunk cheaper.
  12. We once, when reattaching a radiator that had fallen off the wall, had to use a screw so long that we went through the wall into the next room.
  13. China Grove - Doobie Brothers
  14. My solution .......
  15. Oh, that’s surprising. I know the Fender has a cable tone built in (like the boss system) but I’m sure that’s to reduce the top end. What did you end up getting?
  16. Matty Groves - Fairport Convention
  17. I bought the Fender, returned it after one rehearsal as it sapped a huge amount of low end from the sound. At home volume levels it sounded good, like some compression was added and just regulating the lows, but with the band it was like there was a filter removing anything from 120 and lower, took all of the oomph from the sound, and adding bass on the amp didn`t really solve it. Shame, it was a nice bit of kit and as BRX says easy to identify the transmitter/receiver - one of the reasons I bought it as middle aged eyesight needs all the help it can get.
  18. My old rig! It still looks as immaculate as when I had it. I took that on three pro-tours around the UK and it picked up so many compliments from soundmen and other bands. GLWTS.
  19. Hi,

I have a Bartolini  8e precision pickup , it's the active version , quite early, JIC that would suit.

    Best Wishes,

    Mike
