So that bass belonged to a prominent BCR community member and serial number database owner named Lorne. Lorne had several nice BCRs including a Phil Lynott played Mockingbird. The woman you bought it from was a romantic interest of Lornes, rumor is she OD'd him on drugs and he passed around Jan of 2020. The community had no idea what happened to his instruments. That Ironbird is a 1985 USA and was one of his favs, it is easily worth 10x+ what she sold it to you for. I know he had issues with the truss rod but I believe it was fixed shortly before his death. If you're on Facebook Official BC Rich Unlimited will be the place you want to be Congrats

I owned an Epifani 901 for a short period of time. I wanted to buy some rack mount ears, but they didn’t know why I contacted them . I emailed/called the company a few times about service/purchase questions.. After 3 weeks I sold the unit. For the price they charge and the “professional “ market they appeal to, I can’t believe it took so long to hear from anyone, much less Mr. Epifani, himself. I was also surprised that they did not have rack ears AT ALL for the then current production 901. I didn’t even get a vague promise, just “we don’t have those”. I wonder if I were a touring pro, how long it would take to get service if a unit were broken. I like their sound, but my experience has made me look elsewhere. I’ve heard from others that they got quick return calls and fast, personal service . I’d almost just rather know that the company is slow, rather than having no idea if they’re closed, not interested, busy or whatever. I appreciate consistency and response to customer contact and that was simply not provided. I own multiple amps so I wasn’t crippled but I would not want an Epifani as my only amp. You're mileage may vary.

First , I should confess , I’m an old Pbass guy. For years I felt my old 72 Pbass was all I’d ever need. And then I found a nice Ric , and then I started buying some others. It seems these days I mostly use short or medium scale basses. And they are not FSOs. https://i.postimg.cc/wMT9Sz37/IMG-9754.jpg edit … UniVox HiFlier , Phase 2 , late 60’s , Epi V , I had no idea that they were not that common when I picked it up , Shinko Factory Dano Longhorn ( still has factory strings) (it thumps)

Well, thanks again for all the collective help /advice. I have a jazz trio on the go, currently using a mix of electric fretted / fretless. I've depped on a few gigs for a couple of rockabilly bands using a '76 Jazz whose DB players have damaged themselves (building site related injuries). The other band is a 6 piece function covers band which is irrelevant here. I do need a setup, strings and lessons but have sorted the correct height of the bass and stance sorted out for myself. All the best 👍

I asked this question aboutimy Tascam multitrack recorder. It's great but I can't always read the screen. I asked on the Tascam forum and oneimember said he solved the issue by putting an old tablet on a stand above his screen and using the camera app to see the pedal on a bigger screen. Worth a go!

You can get a reading from a multimeter between ring and sleeve which will be proportionate to the battery voltage but not equal to it. I replace batteries when they're somewhat under 9V, if I spot they're below 8V I'll replace them otherwise I'll replace them when they die. KMI Batt-O-Meter incoming, I'll report on it when it's here.

I have a Yamaha MOXF6 (actually, it's my bandmates on a sort of permanent loan). I can't believe how little money they go for now. Of course it depends what you want but it's such a versatile device.

Hey peeps. I purchased the mighty plug pro this month to replace my NUX MLD preamp pedal for home practice. I’m finding that on a full charge it only lasts at most one hour. I connect my Bose noise cancelling headphones and sometimes play along to YouTube tracks. I think this has amazing potential but everytime I get into a vibe or I’ve made up a chord progression it dies. Very dejecting. 😭 What are people getting out of a full charge?

Probably. It’s an angry swine.

I've got a multimeter, so I am not gonna buy anything. I would like to know the recommended voltage to change the batteries and if it is ok to measure the voltage with a trs Jack. Greets
-
The R was used on sone Japanese models and some also had complicated switching. I would lean 95% towards it being USA but there would be a little bit of doubt.
