  2. You could probably even use a latching TRS switch in place of the expression pedal to immediately jump between two values, or use the expression pedal trimmer to get the full output range over a shorter travel to effectively mimic a switch.
  3. bugger..i only have cash.
  4. Does the external switch to change presets only go one way? I know it's only 8, but up and down would be much easier live.
  5. Having graciously bought Krispn's Anagram from him (legend btw), I'm finally happy to clear out pedals and board I don't need anymore. The Cali76TX isn't for sale, I just have not yoink'd it from the board yet. I'm in Chorley, feel free to swing by and test any of the above and fondle my instrument's while you're here Bright Onion Pedals Dual AB Looper- no box - £40 posted Darkglass Harmonic Booster - no box - £125 posted TC Corona Chorus - boxed - £45 posted Warwick Rockboard Tres 3.3 with Flight case and Mod 1 patchbay less than 6 months old - £165 (postage would be a pita with this its quite large. 6. I think the MXR Bass Synth could be the answer!
  7. I’ve got two remasters, Never Mind The Bollocks by The Sex Pistols, and Appetite for Destruction by Guns N Roses. NMTB has a bit more oomph to the bass and the guitars seem a tad sharper/less middy. AFD has better separation of the guitars so easier to tell which is Slash or Izzy, and the bass is boosted - a bit too much imo for listening at home but good for the car. But for me when listening at home I prefer the originals, I bought the remasters for the car and the added low end on both was good for that.
  8. Well spotted!! I didn't look at the spec, just assumed that Starstream = short-scale.
  9. This is how I currently run my set-up. At the moment, I’m running the Barbanera in parallel with an EHX Micro Qtron in band pass. It’s the wettest filter sound I’ve ever experienced! I also briefly ran the Barbanera in parallel with the MF-101. It sounded amazing but I just couldn’t justify having both. Getting the Moog was just to see how close the Barbanera was in sound.
  10. Fyi, I am selling a new/unused set of abalone crown stickers in the FS 'other items' section, in case you fancy making your dot necked Spector look a little more fancy
  11. Price drop to £375. Now located near Wisbech.
  12. No valves in these. Enclosure just makes it look more 'old school' but light as a feather.
  13. Just tried listening to the new 20th anniverary remaster (was it really released that long ago?) of Trouble by Ray Lamontagne. The only way I can describe it compared to the original CD is that if it was a photo, it has had the colour saturation turned up to make it resemble a cartoon version of the original with all the instruments clumsily fighting for attention. Some things should be left alone. Its not that I don't like change — I really like the 2018 remix of Pink Floyd's Animals which is a joy to listen to.
  14. Hi. I’ve just had a Glockenklang 3 band put into my 2005 BB614 which I bought from Slapmonsta last Dec. He said prev owner Shepster had had the standard preamp modified to include a push/pull volume pot which pops the bass into passive mode. Apart from one older looking pot the shafts on the others look a lot newer with bright looking shafts. Spacing of the B,Mids, Treb pots on the board are 32mm and 32mm. The board says Yamaha QC87550 This is a great option because the Yamaha pickups have legendary power and passive tone. Note - there isn’t Tone control in passive mode but it’s a quality sound and you can blend the pickups for variation anyway. ** The only caveat ( which Slapmonsta kindly alerted me to ) is that with full volume in active mode , when you pull up the knob for passive the volume drops a lot BUT when you roll OFF the volume control just a little , the volume leaps back to match the full volume of active mode. ** None of us (owners) know why this is but it’s easy to roll off the volume. Priced accordingly and includes UK mainland delivery. I have another BB614/5 for sale like this ( another Glock mod ) which is Standard ( No passive ) so you might prefer that and it has the vol and blend larger knobs with it ( £30 inc delivery ). Cheers. Quent.
  15. Hi Scott funnily enough I was thinking of relisting it as I'm definitely using my Mesa gear more at present, where are you based?
  16. Hi everyone. Update June 28th. Also now for sale , same Yamaha preamp QC87550 but with push/pull Passive option on the Vol pot - thats for £40 inc deliv, please see other posting for that one. Just moving this Standard preamp on at minimal price , kindly donated by Basschatter Lloydy when I bought his Pewter Beauty not long ago. Also fits a BB615, same 32mm spacing between the shafts on the board. Full working order before Lloydy replaced it with a Glock 3 Band. I include two original larger ( 20mm high 18.3mm diam and 6mm shaft hole ) heavy chrome knobs with new O rings in each. I havent got the full 20 yr service history but the Vol Blend splined pot shafts are 5.85mm outside diam but knobs tighten up OK with allen key. ( The Bass Mid Treb splined shafts are 6.0mm ) The fixed shafts on the board are 32mm centres x 2. The securing nuts and washers are there. Jack socket too. Photo now added. One split shaft crimped up - an ill fitting push on knob I remember - the two allen keyed chrome knobs included are from another BB614 I have ( bought some of those Hipshot lightweight ones from BD - £8 each! ) . So, £30 including UK mainland postage. Apart from seeing one pot is 500k on the photos I can’t help you with any other electronic specs. Cheers. Quent

  17. for me, if I pick is because I want the click and the aggressive tone, if I pluck I want the round tone, that is the point, so I don't change anything
  18. I ordered a set each of abalone and mother of pearl oval crown stickers for my new (to me) Ian Hill Spector. The MOP suit the black gloss finish better so am passing the abalone set straight on. Unavailable in UK, had to source these from a US ebay seller. Avoid the transAtlantic hassle and lob £15 my way to upgrade your dot necked Spector!
  19. Krivo still available 👍
  20. Thanks Steve. It’s a stunning example with just the one issue needing technical expertise. Hence me expecting a techno wizz to buy it OR someone with a luthier mate to sort it gratis. It’ll be a cracker once sorted. It’s only 2 ounces more than my BB614. Cheers 👍
  21. @Quatschmacher dropping the sagely synth knowledge as always. You can effectively double the number of presets with this approach. Really helpful if needing to change sounds for different sections of a song. Madonna’s Like Prayer would be a good example of morphing between a Moogish sound for the chorus and a OC-2 sound for the verse. @Quatschmacher’s approach using an expression pedal would work well for this sort of application.
  22. Boss FV-50H high-impedance stereo volume pedal. In good condition, with original box and manual. It has velcro fitted on the underside. I can post to UK addresses, or you can collect from Chepstow. From Boss: The high-impedance FV-50H is designed to be connected before guitar effect units in the signal chain. The Minimum Volume knob lets users set minimum volume as desired. Convenient Tuner Out jack enables speedy tuning on stage.
  23. Dirty Cash - The Adventures of Stevie V
  24. My mind is made up, this will suit my band no end and allow for more creativity. I can get rid of my Octave pedal and use this as well as some of the other presets and features. I'm sold, take my money 😆
