  1. Past hour
  2. Great set up. Ran exactly the same rig for a few years pre covid. GLWTS
  3. Level 42 - True Colours MK at his most creative RHCP - BSSM Flea’s Wal tone and joyous lines Brad - Shame Jeremy Toback’s sublime playing on this - one of Seattle’s lost gems Crash Test Dummies - God Shuffled His Feet Dan Roberts high in the mix and so melodic Stone Temple Pilots - Purple or Tiny Music - Songs From The Vatican Gift Shop Robert DeLeo is an absolute beast on these two albums 😊
  4. Has anyone tried the WD800 with upright bass? Had a shot of a D800+ and really liked it for its relative simplicity but I play upright as well and can't help feeling the WD800 might work better with a less"baked-in" tone possibly and the parametric mid controls handy for problematic rooms. I live in Orkney so getting a shot of a WD800 soon is impossible... Cheers Iain
  5. I've got the last few issues of Bass Guitar / Bass Player magazine, through from February 2019 to the final print issue in 2022. Free to collect, I'm near Reading. Let me know if you're interested. S.P.
  6. I had one, it was absolutely awesome. Great basses.
  7. Says he no longer does them as the platform is unreliable. I’m guessing it’s marginal gains, and sending players with have moved into the Helix if audio quality is that important.
  8. Not loading again
  9. Piccadilly - Squeeze
  10. Hopefully they are organically bred.🫣🤨
  11. Long overdue update. Waiting on body being finished before hardware upgrades and re-assembly. Mirrored scratchplate not shown should complete the build. Impatiently waiting but happy with how the checked finish looks on the upper body.
  12. These are ace.
  13. Today
  14. A lovely bass that has seen quite a few gigs with it's life in a Who covers band over the years. It has natural mojo abound. To me the necks on these have a lovely taper to them. 41mm nut 54mm at the 12th fret with quite a shallow profile. It has a couple of mods. Lindy Fralin standard Precision pickups and Gotoh resolite tuners. Anodised pick guard. It sounds and plays great and is very well balanced. If you wanted to organise a courier I can chuck in a Gator Transit semi hard shell case and pack some cardboard round it Otherwise it's collection or I could travel to meet within a reasonable distance for fuel. I have a kettle, If you're localish then feel free to have a play.
  15. Interesting development - Moises cannot deal with a whole album (it stops at 20 minutes) so I will have to download each track individually. Not a problem but thought people might like to know!
  16. 'A' Bomb in Waldour Street - The Jam
  17. Any ideas on what this extraterrestrial thing could be? Notice the bridge Ibanez/Cimar(?), Schaller(?) kind of pickup, tuners, truss rod, Italy sticker (seems more realistic than the front Ibanez one) .. 🙄 @Bassassin your lights Sir 🙏
  18. Denmark Street - The Kinks
  19. We wants it, Precious, but we can't affords it. We wants it so badly!
  20. Yamaha DXR 8 Active Speaker This unit has been used as a keyboard monitor and comes with brand new Yamaha outdoor semi waterproof cover and mains lead. It is in good condition although it has lost its control knob caps. Everything works as it ought to. It is in very good cosmetic condition It’s very powerful for an 8” active cab. Great little multi purpose speaker. The original woofer has been replaced with a recommended Fane equivalent. Power Output: Dynamic: 1100W (LF: 950W HF: 150W) / Continuous: 700W (LF: 600W HF: 100W) Frequency Range: 57Hz - 20kHz Inputs: XLR-3-31 x1 , INPUT2: Phone x2, INPUT3: RCA PIN x 2, THRU: XLR3-32 x 1 (Parallel with INPUT 1 ), LINK OUT: XLR x 1 Pole Mounts: 2 options - 1 straight and 1 angular socket for mounting at downward angles Dimensions: 280mm (11") x 458mm (18") x 280mm (11") Weight: 13.5kg (29.8lbs) Pickup preferred but I can post at buyer’s cost. It is very well built and the packed weight will reflect this so I envisage it will be around £20 to post it. UK only. Priced to reflect the replacement driver and lack of control caps.
  21. Bump for price drop £2100
  22. I think I might have overpriced this a bit - bump with price drop. £3200 with vintage TCT / East £3100 with reissue TCT £3000 if somebody wants it without a preamp installed.
  23. Thank you - I can't find a Bossa bass anywhere in the UK. I have another Bossa guitar that was Brian Monroney's (Tom Jones etc) and it's my #1 💛
  24. Don't ask me why.... 🙄 😂 Warrant - Cherry Pie | Jerry Dixon
