  4. For me Wembley Arena is the biggest venue that’s worth going to. Even then the sound can suffer a bit but mostly it’s ok.
  5. I’ve found this setup really versatile but it works for me. I don’t think it’s for everyone…
  6. Absolutely nothing. It's a standard 3 pickup Dingwall with active and passive circuit.
  7. Mine was bog standard. I then bought an HH 2x15 cab and swapped the speakers for the two originals, putting the original Eminence speakers into the HH cab and part-ex'ing it - terrible I know.
  8. So...some Canadian chain has let the cat out the bag. Can't find anything else about them except for this. $1,800 CAD so probably £1,200.
  9. Heh, if you’d rather that some love your bass and others loathe it than everyone simply ignore it, I admit the Vampyre is certainly a strong choice. I’ve had/got both generations of RockBass Vamp 5, though, so I know what I’d be signing up for 🙂
  10. @Bill Fitzmaurice, my Bassman 1x15 cab has this wadding, but only on the back. Are there any benefits in covering all the internal surfaces?
  11. Today
  12. … it’s a decent pedal, I currently run it clean at church as this seems to suit how I play there. At home I do like to add a little bit of hair/grit etc, but not much. It can go full on if wanted, but not my thing tbh. Adds a nice ‘vibe’ to the sound easily. Always a bit odd describing sound with words, but there you go 🤣
  13. Its that time of year when my wife tells me not to buy anything and to put it on my christmas list. Unfortunately the dog has eaten all my socks and I'm down to my laat two pairs. So I bought some more on Saturday. So. 1. Socks I also bought 2 pairs of jeans brown and black - as I can't wear my curent ones out for any Xmas parties. 2. Jeans (I may or may not wear them, then they can be wrapped and I'll open them) 3. Trail running shoes - I'll buy them and they can wrap them. 4. DMX WiFi transmitter/recievers - I'll ask for Amazon vouchers and buy them after. 5. A new bass - no idea what, 3 string, possibly Ibanez - I don't need one - I doubt I'll find one.... 1-3 are dead certs. 4 I may change my mind. 5 may stay on the list for the next 10 years...
  14. Last two things available: Aion Lab Series L4 £95 posted Fairfield Shallow Water clone in 125b £160 posted some wee pricedrops there -wasn't really intending to drop the price on the Shallow Water clone as I like it a lot - I dunno if I updated the decription but it's not got a nice DC jack on it at the right size (!) and I rebaised the bucket brigade chip so it sounds lovely.
  15. @joetruscott hi, if you could demo the bass back pup, neck pup, both pups and anything that shows the action on the neck that would be great.

  17. Master built Warwick Vampyre 5 and Peavey amps? That is really quite esoteric taste in gear you have, if I might say so. Nothing wrong with Warwick basses (or Peavey amps) but a Vampyre? Are you sure?
  18. That's one option, but you don't need 50 meters. You should be able able to find the same polyester batting in a useful size at fabric shops, it's used for pillows and furniture upholstery.
  19. Had a rethink on pricing whilst at work. £720!
