Some other options: Use bigger writing. Get a tablet on a stand and pretend it's controlling an instrument. Investigate autocue.
-
Regarding specs, maybe ones with a heads-up display could be an option - they might even become a "look"!

I tried some varifocals spectacles and they were awful: the edges of my 32" 4k monitor became curved and I couldn't read things by moving my eyes but instead had to keep them still and move my head to read; I also couldn't use my peripheral vision. I really couldn't recommend them less.. As for contact lenses: I was recommended not to have them for astigmatism, as every time you blink you slightly shift them. I think that varifocal contacts would exacerbate that issue and you'd be looking at the world through a wobbly fish-eyed vision.

Fender precision bass 1971 Price 5000 euro
Steve Browning replied to gregorbass's topic in Basses For Sale
I suspect people will want far more information than that. Weight, nut width, maybe an assessment of fret wear. These would be the very least. My '71 also has the non-logo case. Apparently cases were sourced separately at the time. Lovely looking bass, for sure, but more information would help you reach serious buyers. I might also heed the scam warnings and put your username on a card and photograph it under the strings of the bass too. - Today

Hi I'm a freelance bassist with over 40 years experience mainly working in the theatre. I've just purchased an Ibanez UB804 Electric Upright Bass, which is what brought BASSCHAT to my attention. Hoping to pick up some advice, and share my experiences using the 804 in the pit. Thanks for the invite! Phil The Pit Man

I did contact Epifani a couple of days ago, obviously it's the week end, etc.. but i'm on fire to get it done so, i'm just trying to hasten things. Unfortunately in my country there is no Epifani importer but my tech is super duper good but he would like to have a look at the schematics before tackling the job The use of it wasn't unauthorised, the guy was/is just plain dumb - upon seeing a speaker cable connected to my amp he still went ahead and connected the other amp to the cab because.. errr.... that's what you do ! I didn't bother asking him to pay, can't be bothered wasting time, getting nervous or listen to some stupid excuses, however from now on NO ONE will be allowed to use it and can start carrying back and forth their own 30 kg cabs. Needless to say, every bass player that rehearses there now loves him.....

Yes that might just work 👍 I missed the original post so I'll tag a couple of other "locals" who might be interested @Yan_Huriey@jig@ToneFree@woodyratm Yes I did a couple of charity gigs and a number of jam nights with him. Lovely guy and very talented. When he came back to Aberdeen he played in the Gerry Jablonski Band with our very own @jig

Only 2 of my electric basses ( and an acoustic bass and a viola da gamba) have those. I find they make things more difficult tbh. We are!!! Don't go!!!
-
Sit down. Eases the problem with weight and you're closer to the floor so better chance of reading the setlist and seeing which patch you're on.

Did you do the Burn era? IMHO one of the best Rick albums ever and the best DP -
Yes but your taste levels in this photo veer more “normal” than “guitard-deviant”

Apparently according to the description it has 20 frets. Do they come in a separate bag? If you happen to have another neck, its fine for £1.75! -
I have fond memories of trying a red classic 50s p bass in pmt Leeds and slightly less fond memories of having to decline

I really enjoyed the set, a fantastic back catalogue of Police and solo Sting material to choose from, three damn good musicians, dressed in just jeans and tee shirts (no fancy stage clothing), no backdrop, just their back line and stage lighting. -
