For sale is my Headrush Gigboard in great condition. It has the latest firmware updates etc and comes with the original power supply. Fully functional and dead easy to use / configure etc. I have a number of my own bass presets stored and I removed the factory (mainly guitar) presets to reduce the need for scrolling etc. I can easily reload the original presets if the new owner would like.....it takes about 2 mins, its that straight forward. Plenty of online videos, help and guidance to review as well. Its really easy to set up and edit using the touch screen to drag & drop effects and IR's together instantly. The interface is super easy to use. There are plenty of amps, cabs, IRs, microphone, and effects options to get the tones you're looking for. You can use your own impulse responses as well as backing up your presets to your PC. The four switches can be configured to switch between rigs, switch on effects, scenes or whatever you prefer. It has a looper too and can be used as audio interface for recording with reamping from the clean signal. Heres a few links: Headrush website Headrush Effects & Controls List Basschat thread I've added some documents for info eg: manual, effects list, preset equivalents - Gigboard-User-Guide-v2_1_2.pdfHeadRush Amps, Cabs, Mics and Effects.pdfHeadrush Models @2019.pdfHeadrush Preset Equivalents.pdf Comes boxed with power supply. As Aberdeen is a long way from most of civilisation, I'll ship to mainland UK at cost using Parcelforce / Royal Mail.

For sale is my TC Electronic GMajor-2 multi effects unit in fully working condition and updated to the latest firmware. Pictures show it in its usual rack home (rack not included). Although most of the standard effects are aimed at the guitarist I have found the compressor, gate, flanger, phaser and octaver (up and down) etc. to be very useable for bass. I can either factory reset before shipping or leave the presets I have created intalled. It has built in EQ, noise gate, compressor, reverbs, delays, wahs, octaver, tremolo, phaser, flanger etc each of which can be switched in / out from the front panel as required. I have been using this via my amps effects loop and found the compressor (and all the effects) just add their effect without changing the fundamental sound of the bass. Comes with original box and operating manual. You can use the unit in your DAW as well as with your bass / guitar etc. Patches can be easily selected from the front panel or attach a midi-pedal (I used a MidiMoose). There is also some Vyzor software you can download from the net which allows you to interface your PC with the GMajor-2 to edit and backup your user patches. I have also attached the GMajor-2 and Vyzor manuals below. tc_electronic_g-major_2_manual_english.pdfVyzor_G-Major2_Quick-Start.pdf I estimate UK shipping about £10 to £15.

I have just gone through a lot of my studio / PA gear and removed the excess insert and patch cables etc. and have gathered together quite a collection of connectors. Some of the items are brand new never been used but all are in great condition and fully functional. I could be persueded to a bulk buy reduction. Postage would be based on how many and destination. The table below gives as much info on model / style as I know.

1 rack unit is gone so the only one left is the lower one in the photos. For sale is my used but not abused EMS 500 19" rack case. The rack is currently assembled as 6U but can be reconfigured as 3U, 6U simply by removing some bolts and panels - 10 min job! You can also configure it so the top removes for mixers. The rack is currently assembled to a board with castors which isn't included in the sale and will be removed before shipping.........unless you really, really want it and then it would be an extra £20 and whatever the increased postage is. These are quite special cases as they are modular construction where you can increase or decrease the number of rack spaces by easily adding or removing side and end panels. All you need is an allen key! You can also use them with a mixer installed in the top and the top panel can be easily removed! See the photo of how I had the units set up for my band PA. (None of the rack equipment is included.) All catches etc are in good condition. Rack to rack depth is 48cm. Weight per 6U assembly is 18lbs / 8.2kg. See the attached brochure for more details. The 6U Gator version of this case weighs 13lbs so slightly lighter but is NOT as rigid, road resilient or has the flexiblity options. As these are modular I would propose they are dismantled and flat packed for shipping to reduce the cost. I'll give details on how to re-assemble if you need but its quite straight forward. I've estimated UK postage to be £15 per unit. 6U Rack Unit 2 - the lower 6U rack unit in the photos on its own - £90 / Board with castors - £20 / Both together £100. Shipping Extra EMS.pdf

I'd reflow all of that soldering, it looks a bit.... iffy at best. The passive tone stack on fender style basses isn't in series with the signal, so if the tone control is faulty then it won't alter the output.

If you’ve located the missing piece, I’d just superglue it back on. I had a Tele, where the string spacing was off (too close to the treble side). I removed it, moved it over, filed back the overhang and built up the other side with superglue. Solid as a rock, hasn’t moved or had any problems since.

Anyone else doing the Black Sabbath live stream?

£3 service fee...fine. I'll swallow that £5.60 'applicable taxes' but no explanation of what they are...any clues here? -

I did that once on one of my jazzes, I superglued it back and it’s been there for about 7 years, is that a possibility for you

Paddy777 started following Behringer TU300 Chromatic Tuner Pedal - £10 posted

Behringer TU300 Chromatic Tuner pedal, all working fine. Runs off 9v pedalboard power or can use a 9v square battery in it. Very robust and has never let me down at all Not much to say about it really 😁 It works great, has some duolock on the bottom, price includes postage, it’s sat here doing nowt so if you’re stuck for a cheap tuner I’m happy to send it £Tenner! includes postage. If you’re local to me (I’m Durham DH2) and can pick it up it’s yours for half that! Cheers

That's the thing I don't get - those Wilkinsons were a straight swap for the tuners in my Epiphone Les Paul Standard which were a straight swap for the tuners which replaced whatever replaced the Gotoh GB7 in my Burny. 1mm is enough to cause you bother. Perhaps the tuners vary from year to year. TL:DR - drop in replacement is never guaranteed. Have or learn the skills to recover the situation.

Paddy777 started following Trickfish Signal Filter (HPF & LPF) £70 posted (£215 RRP)
-
Trickfish Signal Filter (From the new line of 2023/24 Trickfish pedals) cost £215 new, I paid £140 for it on here It has a HPF (with makeup gain) that goes from 38hz to 310hz, and a LPF that goes from 15khz to 330hz - these can be operated independently unlike any others I have seen where you have both on or neither on, this you have a footswitch for each The usefulness of this pedal live cannot be underestimated, HPF especially with the makeup gain takes all the subby LOW lows out and tightens your bottem end up, stopping you from sounding boomy. LPF can be used always on - so maybe 8-10khz to get rid of unwanted shrillness and string noise, it can be used in lieu of a cab sim, or you can use it like a passive tone control on basses without one - it does loads, very useful. Takes a normal 9v pedalboard power supply, only thing wrong with it is a couple of the letters and numbers have started to rub off, but it’s done a lot of gigs with me - it still works a treat and there’s no issues with its functions, footswitch, potentiometers etc. Comes with instructions, I thought I had a box too but I can’t find it at the moment, so I’m not promising you the box but I’m hoping it turns up. Has some duo-lock on the bottom, I can remove that if you want These are £215 new still, I’ve got a Stomp XL now so I’ve no need for this now. I have priced it very much to sell at half what I paid - no point letting it sit here for weeks and it not move - someone else is welcome to it at what I think is a very reasonable price £70 inc Postage (RM Tracked)

Very true………and Fender has a history of falling behind. An earlier example was the Precision Bass Special, which was their first active bass coming out in the early 80’s. I know that was a troubled time for “Big F” but having a big brand name is just not enough, especially these days.

Apologies - I previously conflated them as "remasters/remixes", but missed the 2nd part in my statement. 🙂 But yes, it would take a remix to, as you say. I think remasters give an opportunity to use better equipment to create the final product, maybe with less effects & adjustments in the (ahem) mix to get in the way of what comes out of the speakers. I've also picked up a few HD-audio tracks; they can be a (ahem) mixed bag too. FYI, I'm just in the process of auditioning a cable to connect my pre-amp to my power-amp; it's quite interesting. I'm not sure at what point someone changes from being an audiophile to being an audiophool, but if you can hear it then it doesn't matter whether someone else can't (or won't). (I'm a member of the Steve Hoffman forums.) -
I'm guessing the circuit is in series so if it was a dodgy solder connection then there wouldn't be any output at all?

About HARD CASES !! I'm a happy user of a TT4 fretless and the gigbag is OK (sure looks a bit naff though) but I'm amazed Sandberg don't produce or otherwise offer a hard case for their basses. I know my California will kind of fit a Jazz Bass case but not exactly. Seems to me an insane oversight on their part -what do serious touring players use (custom flight cases I suppose). Anyone recommend a decent hard case that fits a California well?
